Product Description
The purpose of this symposium was to present and discuss the use of hyperbaric oxygenation treatment and certain ancillary procedures for cerebral palsy and the brain-injured child.
Worldwide data as well as research being accomplished on the subject was covered. Some of the leading international clinicians, physicians, scientists, and active parental forerunners in the use of hyperbaric oxygen treatment for these children took part in the many presentations and discussions. This provided a unique opportunity for each of these groups to interact with those from other countries to share clinical results, new ideas and successful protocols. It brought together those who are working with hyperbaric oxygenation and others who are working on newer, promising methods designed to assist children with cerebral palsy and brain injuries.
These Proceedings feature scientific papers presented by medical practioners from more than 14 counties who are studying the effets of hyperbaric oxygenation on cerebral palsy and traumatic brain injuries.
From the Inside Flap
The overwhelming preponderance of scientific evidence indicates that Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy helps restore function to the injured brain. Whether or not that injury took place in the womb, as the result of a motor vehicle accident, or from a vascular accident, helping individuals come closer to living up to their potential with a higher quality of life is the miracle of HBOT. No, it is not a cure-all, but it is a means of bringing something fundamentally quintessential to the human body -OXYGEN!
