Inspired by the Pfaltzgraff family grounds, this 16-piece Charlotte dinnerware set is as soothing and lush as a rose garden in bloom. With charming variation, the dishes combine pale washes of yellow, blue, green, and rose with scalloped edges and fine accent banding. The generous clusters of blooms and garlands are both cheerful and intimate. Crafted from chip-resistant stoneware, the dishes are safe in the dishwasher, freezer, microwave, and oven. With 16 pieces in all, the set includes four place settings, each with a 10-3/4-inch dinner plate, 8-1/2-inch salad plate, 19-ounce soup/cereal bowl, and 9-ounce pedestal mug. Each dish in the Charlotte pattern carries a 3-year warranty and can be replaced individually. Coordinating Rose Garden accessory pieces and serving dishes are also available. --Emily Bedard

I love Pfaltzgraff to begin with. I was first introduced to it when Amazon had some of their plates in a different pattern (not Charlotte)on sale in a Friday sale. Thanksgiving was coming up and we needed extra plates for everyone that was coming, so I ordered 12. I have been hooked on Pfaltzgraff ever since, and I love the Charlotte pattern, I mean, look at it, it's so adorable and quaint looking. I also love the fact that they give you a good size coffee cup instead of those silly little coffee cups with a saucer that you never use that come with most tableware. The Charlotte pattern was retired at the end of 2003, so get it while you can.
