This delightful dinnerware features the vintage Christmas tree that Spode designer Harold Holdway created in 1938 for the company's now classic Christmas Tree pattern. Laden with colorful ornaments and topped with a jolly figure of St. Nick, the evergreen image has become an icon of holiday perfection. This merry Disney version of the tableware also includes legendary Disney characters Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, and Pluto, who are gathered in front of the tree for a rousing round of carols. The characters are reproduced from a rare edition of 1931 Christmas cards created by Walt Disney and elevate the joyful mood at any Christmas celebration.
This 9-inch plate is sized to hold an assortment of little hors d'oeuvres at holiday cocktail party or an individual serving of cake during the dessert course at Christmas dinner or greens during the salad course.
