Bright and detailed, each plate features imagery and verses from the Clement C. Moore poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas." A border of holly and a dark red rim complete the plates festive effect. First in the series, this set features these verses: "The children were nestled all snug in their beds/While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads," and "So, up to the housetop the coursers they flew/With a sleigh full of toys and St. Nicholas, too." Crafted from fine translucent porcelain, the plates are substantial in weight and safe in the dishwasher, oven, and microwave. They measure 8 inches in diameter.
