The gold-anodized fascias immediately declares the Reference 500 Series PD-H503 as special. Precision machined from 10mm thick aluminum, it not only looks sleek and gives a sense of solid permanence, but also ensures rugged durability. The elegant, timeless styling ensures that the PD-H503 will complement not only other Reference 500 Series components but any décor, from traditional to contemporary. And the diminutive size, only two-thirds the width of standard audio components, allows the Reference 500 mini-components to fit into spaces that other components can't. The PD-H503 3-CD changer plays commercial CDs as well as audio CD-R and audio CD-RW discs. It uses a linear-skate, triple-tray CD changer with a 1-bit DAC and an 8x oversampling digital filter. Its attractive, multi-function fluorescent display guides you through features like music calendar, shuffle Play, 4-way repeat (single track, all track, all disc, A-B), and a Toslink optical digital-audio output lets you connect the component to a minidisc or CD recorder.
