Anybody experiencing audio dropout on the bd disc? 2 I've got from netflix have had this problem. Just trying to see if there is a problem on the purchased version. Heard it has something to do with changing the bd player hdmi output from bitstream to pcm

YES THERE IS A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THE "DOLBY TRUE HD SOUNDTRACK DROPPING OUT A LOT. Anyone who buys the BluRay version of this movie, no matter where you get it from, will experience this major drop-out sound issue. There used to be a big thread about the issue but Amazon has removed it so everyone can not read just how bad the issue is, and they can keep selling the BD discs with the problem. Why do you think the price for the BluRay version dropped so low?

One "RIP-OFF" fix from SONY says to change your BD player to output PCM audio instead of the Dolby TrueHD track. But the PCM is the same as basic 2 channel stereo with no surround tracks. It is NOT Dolby TrueHD and will not have 5.1 channels. This totally defeats the whole idea of buying a BlyRay disc in the first place. I would rather get the standard DVD which has a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround track that works. The added 12 minutes and hearing the "F" word a few times on the BD copy, but NOT found on the standard DVD version, is not important to the movie.

It's just a shame that Amazon will not hold these bad BD copies back and that the movie company will not just fix the problem and re-issue the movie on BD disc that works right. Amazon and the movie company are fully aware of this issue. But money is everything and we customers have no say or control over this matter. Just buy the standard DVD and boycott the BD version.
