5.0 out of 5 stars Wii Combo Guitar/ GH III
For Christmas my wife purchased a couple of Guitar Hero games and Rockband for the Wii. Rockband and one of the GH games came with a guitar so that gave us one guitar for each game. I purchased the Wii Combo Guitar/ GH III which is compatible with both games. It is a great guitar and it has a second set of frets for the younger kids. This is great since I have 17, 16, and...

3.0 out of 5 stars Lower Quality, but works with GH and RB
I bought this guitar to have as a spare for my Wii when friends come over to play. Its not nearly the same quality as the guitar for Guitar Hero World Tour. The buttons on the fret feel loose and make clicks when you press them. The strum bar also feels loose. There is no large "star power" button on the guitar so if you are used to triggering it or overdrive from...

1.0 out of 5 stars Too many problems, May 5, 2009

I bought this because it claimed to be compatible with both Rockband and Guitar Hero. For Guitar Hero, I found that the whammy bar didn't work which made the guitar very difficult to use battle mode, as one of the "attacks" requires rapped whammy usage to clear. The tilt sensor used to trigger overdrive for both Rockband and Guitar hero never functioned. I don't know if those problems were due to a defect in the guitar controller that I received or is a general problem, but in general I found the controller to be of questionable quality, for instance the strum bar is quite loose, when compared to either the Guitar Hero or the Rockband OEM controllers.

I bought this guitar to have as a spare for my Wii when friends come over to play. Its not nearly the same quality as the guitar for Guitar Hero World Tour. The buttons on the fret feel loose and make clicks when you press them. The strum bar also feels loose. There is no large "star power" button on the guitar so if you are used to triggering it or overdrive from Rock Band through the button, start learning to tilt the guitar. The strap was a bit short for me, but I am a larger woman, as well as tall, so I will be either swapping straps from my GH guitar when I use this one or buying an extra strap.

But, the guitar works with all the games as advertised, so that's nice. However, if you play one game more than another, I'd suggest just buying their official guitar for the better quality.

1.0 out of 5 stars DEFECTIVE, February 26, 2009

I received a defective guitar that would not sync with Guitar Hero. The manufacturer's customer service was of no help. I had Amazon send a replacement one, and of course it was defective as well. The whammy bar did not work at all. And no instructions were included with either guitar. I'm not bothering to order a third. Save your money, don't buy.

When I ordered this guitar I saw all the bad reviews for it, and hoped that the few good reviews were correct.... The only reason I bought this guitar was for the Beatles Rockband (I have guitar hero guitars and did not think they would work.) The guitar would not connect correctly and some of the buttons did not register at all. The guitar looks and feels cheaply made. The strum bar is very loud, and so are the fret buttons. I do NOT recommend purchasing this item at all! After I realized that it did not work I tried using my Guitar Hero World Tour controller and it worked just fine.

1.0 out of 5 stars As poor as they come..., July 31, 2009
This review is from: ezJam Guitar for Wii Guitar Hero & Rock Band Wireless (Accessory)
My wife got me one for my b-day; they sent 2.... on the first one I tried, the whammy bar was non-responsive. On the second one, the strap button was broken upon taking it out of the box and up-strumming does not work. These guitars are made of the poorest materials and look like they were put together by a 4-year old.

Definately not worth 1/2 of what the price is. Stay away from this product and anything that this company produces if this is a sign of their quality, workmanship and customer service. My worst experience ever with a product I've gotten from Amazon.

These things are way too expensive for what they are actually worth. The strum doesn't even work half the time. There weren't any instructions, screws for the battery cover were missing, and a piece of the side was broken. I had them for about a week and I returned them.

It's a cool idea but this guitar fell flat... flat in the box and back to Amazon.

2.0 out of 5 stars ezJam Guitar is a Huge Disappointment, February 24, 2009
This review is from: ezJam Guitar for Wii Guitar Hero & Rock Band Wireless (Accessory)
I read somewhere in a review that the strum bar on the ezJam Combo Guitar for Wii was way too loud. I ignored the bad review thinking the reviewer was too critical. How bad could it be? Well, I waited impatiently for the guitar to arrive, took it out, played a few songs, packed it up and shipped it back. The strum bar does more than click, it's just plain old loud! It seems to rattle and feels cheap. It ruins the songs. Some people like clicking, I sure don't. I didn't like the fret buttons either, perhaps just because they're different and I'm not used to them. It just doesn't have the same feel as the Rock Band guitar so if that's what you like, then I wouldn't recommend this guitar.

1.0 out of 5 stars LOST IN TRANSLATION!, December 23, 2009
By
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: ezJam Guitar for Wii Guitar Hero & Rock Band Wireless (Accessory)
Hello,
Well I can't tell you about the performance but I can say that I ordered it in November, it was not listed as back ordered or out-of-stock, yet they could not get it to me in time for X-mas, this order was originally promised to be delivered to me by 12/1/09, then they said it would be here by the following week and then it would not be here in time for X-mas. I realize this item was very popular but I ordered in plenty of time. I then ordered a guitar from K-mart and it was here in 5 days.

It doesn't matter how good the product is if they can't even get it to you.

Food for thought,

Jackie
