Odds of failing? Does anyone know what the odds are that an LG LED LCD will fail within 5 years?

My PT61LCX65 has just had its light engine / LCD panel set fail. 7 years of age on a Panasonic. 14K hours. Never would have used a extended on it. Devices like these either fail in 6 months or many years after the warranty period.

Look at a warranty vs what the TV will be worth in a few years.
