Product Description

Digital Inspiration. That's how the good folks at Canon define their EOS 60D DSLR Camera. With an 18MP APS-C CMOS sensor, a 3" Clear View LCD, and HD video capture, among other mouth-watering features, perhaps you will agree. Let's take a tantalizing tour of this highly-anticipated DSLR camera body. What was that? Did I say video? Yes, I did. Let's take a moment to delve into the feature that has all those techies out there jumping out of their desk chairs. The 60D is more than your run-of-the-mill DSLR camera, as we know; it doubles as a 1920 x 1080 HD video camera. With the built-in video camera you'll be able to capture MOV video clips up to 4GB in size (time depends on resolution). With features like manual exposure control, the option to attach on any of the Canon EF or EF-S lenses, and various audio adjustments - including an external stereo mic connection, and both manual and auto gain control - the 60D puts DSLR film-making at your fingertips. Other noteworthy features of the video function include in-camera editing, a number of recording resolutions to choose from, and an HDMI output for one-cable connection to your HDTV. Perhaps you should take a moment and catch your breath. Ok, here we go - back to the DSLR proper. Let's ease back into things here. No matter if you're shooting video or digital stills the 60D captures everything to convenient flash memory cards - Record to SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards. Canon also gives you the option to use wireless USB 2.0 drives, or Eye-Fi cards for computer-free wireless transfer of your images. Now, back to the show... The 18MP APS-C CMOS sensor packs in enough pixel-power to make those mural prints you've only been dreaming of, a reality. But even if you don't plan on making a wall-sized mural of your dog romping through the surf, 18MP have other advantages. Sharpness, clear details, a lack of image-destroying noise, and true-to-life colors are all examples of how more pixels will make your images pop!

I ordered the Canon EOS 60D package from Sunset Electronics and I'm completely satisfied. Tons of goodies and accessories for a very reasonable price.
Everything was packed with care, nothing was damaged. Everything new.
I'm still overwhelmed with all the neat stuff that came with it. The camera is amazing. I'm having a blast trying out different functions.
You cannot go wrong with this deal.

Camera was great, but the lenses are the cheapest or next to cheapest sold by Canon. For a beginner like me they worked fine but I'm thinking I could have just bought the camera and purchased more quality lenses.

I am new to the world of digital and I thought the Canon 60D might be above my pay grade. However i have found that it is similar in many ways to the Canon AE-1 that I have used for 30+ years. The exception is the the camera does all the focusing, all you need to do is point. Of course it has many more capabilities that are too numerous to mention here but I highly recommend the Canon 60D.

This camera has some obvious shortcomings, i.e. - sensor size, that could effect some photographers. Having said that, this kit is awesome. I am a photojournalist. With 1080 dpi movie capability at 60 fps there is little I cannot capture. The multiple lens package covers most needs very effectively. The camera's firmware capability is out of this world. It can even produce, automatically, a step-up and step-down trio of shots with one pull of the trigger. On the fly cababilities are incredible, including an Automatic Focus Servo that can track a moving subject for multiple shots in different focal planes.

I could go on for quite some time. Suffices to say that I am VERY picky about my photography and this camera has been everything I wanted, and more.

I will not recommend this bundle because the items you will get with this kit other then Canon Body and Lens are not worth more then $15-20 individually. So better buy Canon body + Lens alone somewhere else by doing some research upfront and get other filters and items listed in this bundle if you need it. For example you will get a dedicated flash worth $19.99 (looks like kids toy) with this bundle and you won't feel like using it.

Not worth for your money as a bundle.

This kit arrived in a big box with so many things inside. Even today, after months, I still did not have a chance to go through everything. The camera is amazing. Three lens are great and accessories? There is an ocean of them starting from filters and finishing with fish eye sets, extra battery, car charger, great backpack. Would strongly recommend this set!

Pros: Shipping was quick and everything came undamaged and in working order. This kit is the kit to get if you're wanting to start a photography hobby. There are more options on the 60D than there are the Txi models regardless of having the same sensor so, in all reality, you're not going to need to upgrade this camera unless you're doing exposures that require a MkII or better. Lenses aren't top of the line but if you do not have the 50mm lens that comes in this kit then it's worth getting. The lens is cheap but a very good lens and should be in everyone's camera case that owns a Canon. The telephoto lens performs sub par in my opinion and the 18-55 zoom is a good standard lens for really any situation. The carrying backpack holds everything that comes with the kit. It's not the best carrier and I do wish it had an extra zipper pocket on the front, but it serves it's purpose.

Cons: The tripod that comes with this kit is trash. It's small and portable and fits on the side of the carrier nicely but I cannot think of any reason why I would break it out and set it up. It would be much more to your advantage to carry a chain around with a bolt on the end so you have a portable monopod that works off tension by holding it to the ground with your foot while pulling the camera up to your eye for quick situations that something like this would be needed for. The tripod is pretty useless unless you don't have one, in which case get one because you'll hate the one in the kit.

Other than that, no complaints. You get what you pay for and the price is respectable for everything that comes in this kit. You probably won't find a 2 lens kit for any cheaper. Great value.
