I had never done Pilates before and was unsure of the type of mat to get. I read several reviews and decided on this one. Good choice. It is thick and very long. Upon first receiving, it does have a "rubber" smell but it goes away after washing and with use. The company sends info on how to best wash it prior to use. I didn't find the smell offensive as other reviewers commented, and I am pregnant so smells are heightened for me. I use my mat every day and am very pleased.

I purchased this mat for working out, not so much yoga. I wanted a thinker mat to make ab work much better on my back, and this mat has been good for it. It came quickly and did not have any smell as some other mats do for awhile.

I bought this because I began doing beginner yoga/ ab workouts. It works great on the hard floor and it pads my knees and back very well during various exercises. The reason for the 4 stars is that I do slip when doing downward dog and while I do sit ups. I don't have a lot of experience with yoga mats, so I don't know if that is a typical problem with yoga mats. Overall, I am pretty satisfied for the price.

Also I am not incredibly tall, 6'1", and this yoga mat fits the entire length of my body.

This is a great mat for people over 6' tall. I am 6'3", so the extra four inches this mat has (standard mat is 68") really comes in handy.

May quality is pretty good. The main thing about this mat, for me, is the length. If you just need a regular size mat, I think the Hugger Mugger "Tapas" mats are the best. This is similar, but not as sticky. A plus for some, maybe not a good thing for others. A good mat though, which I think will last most people several years.

Both my husband and I bought Yoga mats ... he got his from a store and I bought mine through Amazon ... we paid the same price but mine is so much better! Better quality, thicker ... he wishes he had gotten his from Amazon too!

This item works pretty good. I wish it was a little more plush/cushier for when I do push ups and other excercises that require my knees. However, it works very well and it is fairly affordable. A good starter mat!

I've bought two of these in the last 6 months. The first one I liked a lot and was exactly what I was looking for. The second one, bought a few month later seems to be a bit inferior quality. Kind of strange. If I would have gotten this recent one first, I probably would have looked for another brand for the second purchase. The most recent one is not terrible, and serves the purpose well, but it does not feel as durable as the first.

Thick, cushy, kinda sticky but it helped with my work outs. The only pain is rolling it back up, but it's worth it to have a mat this large. I hate those tiny flimsy ones that make me feel like I'm just laying on the floor.

Love this product. Would buy again if this one wears out, which it hasn't yet!

The matt is not what was described. It does not grip the floor and is narrow. The same matt was found at Below 5 for $5.00 so it is not worth buying it online even if a discount is offered

When i first removed it from the plastic, i was afraid it might smell. It was only noticeable for about a minute. Its been in my house now for a month unwrapped and I have never noticed any smells. Its cushy and does not stretch too much. I would recommend this mat. Actually, i was thinking about buying another one to give me more area to work out on.
