Cute but not useful, January 2, 2011

I purchased this scarf as part of a Christmas gift for an enthusiastic Norwegian. When I read "lightweight" in the product description, I was expecting a scarf that would still have enough weight to be useful! It turned out that this scarf is really no more than a novelty item. It truly is thin and not soft or comfortable at all--not worth wearing in the fall or winter where I live, or even most parts of spring for that matter. It is still a good scarf for those more interested in displaying their Norwegian heritage than having a functional scarf, and it came at a good price. But if novelty isn't the only thing you're looking for, you may want to consider something else.
