A
Yes...It stands steady and holds ipad/tablet in notched bottom, and will hold horiz and vert. And the arm that supports the tablet/ipad also moves back and forth and up and down. I love this simple tool, and am very pleased with it. I recommend highly if you are looking for a sturdy, solid, WELL MADE item such as this.

A
Very adjustable. The legs spread apart and head can positioned high or low so you can see your tablet at various angles. You can also position your tablet horizontally or vertically on the stand.
