That is exactly what happened to mine. Does anyone have any idea what to spray on it that's safe for the plant? It's only the cucumber leaves they're eating.

James, I don't know if this is true or not, never had the problem, but I have heard that if you put dog hair around your garden, or around the area you are having trouble the scent from the hair will keep out deer and other critters. Hope you have a dog?

I have lost all of my pole beans in one night. About 30 hills. They were about three feet high. Not a leaf left. I'm devastated. I saw the deer that did it I'm sure. I need a deer fence, but I .can't afford it Any ideas?

Something has eaten a patch of my cucumber leaves. Whole leaves are gone about one foot nigh. By two feet wide. Any ideas. I live in Minneapolis Minnesota. Please help.

I have made up a red pepper spray with a little dish soap and I spray the fruit.... and I sprinkled the ground with red chili flakes but since they get sprinkled everyday I'm not sure how effective this is. I have seen them standing right next to the pepper flacks eating something on the other side. I have also moved my potted things to different locations and that has helped. There is some new cucumber growth that doesn't seemed to be touched... yet.

But I saw him again this morning munching away on a green tomato he'd stolen from somewhere. I've read for hours on the subject and the only folks who seem to have resolved their problems have trapped and relocated. I'm trying to do this but so far I have not been successful.

Squirrels...ate all the leaves and flowers on well as parsley leaves, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant and zucchini flowers (not the veggie if you can get the flowers that far along) and cantaloupe the size of softballs....also citrus. Very I see they have started on the baby avocados. <sigh>

My cucumbers are on a short trellis and the leaves are very dense. Something is eating the leaves right down to the stem but only at the top of the plants. The leaves further down the stems are still intact. This is not the normal pattern for slugs. Anyone know what my be doing this and how to stop it?
