I want something with shallow, moving water, on more than one level. Some of the solar products don't look too bad, but they have some dreadful reviews. I've looked both locally and online, but am not finding the right thing yet. Any ideas?

The most helpful thing that I found was to use my old concrete birdbath (which is shallow) and hook up a coper pipe dripper system sold at The dripper keeps the bath replenished, and the constant dripping of the water stimulates the birds' interest.

Although the birds prefer shallow graded baths, the wind tends to easily blow the water out of them. The dripper automatically refills the bath, should this occur. I don't think I would trust a solar or recirculating bath.

Thanks for the suggestion. There's a lot of wind here, so the dripper sounds like a good idea.

Although not what you had in mind...
My husband and I found some reasonably priced at Tractor Supply. It's 2-tiered with a solar light and attractive. He had to stake it, but it's light weight enough I'm able to pull the whole thing up to remove the stake. I have to carry mine to the hose, and it's rinsed out easily. The constant water replenishing would be wonderful, but I'm not willing to pay the water bill.

I found a fountain with a basin that was a little too deep, so I got one of those raft things for the birds Haven't set it up yet.
