Momma skunk made her home under my patio deck. She has since given birth to three little ones. I've tried varmint control crystals, fox urine & moth balls. She just doesn't want to leave. Anybody have any suggestions?

Hi Dianne, We had the same problem ,however, ours must have been a male. Over aperiod of a couple weeks we found that he went out about 1AM each night and I suggested that we get chicken wire and staple it to the deck so he could not get back in. It was a success!!!! Before that we had tried cages with marsmallows and then cat food and peanut butter and nothing seemed to work until the chicken wire. I hope by this time she and her baby are gone. good luck! This happened to us, too. We removed one of the deck boards after she left at dusk in the evening to go forage for food. We inserted a bright flood light. When she returned before daybreak to go "home" and sleep, she found "the bright sun" and ran away and never came back. They are nocturnal! Very cheap and humane solution that instantly works!

I suggest a well placed pellet from a fairly high powered pellet gun. Kill the mom the rest will die. Just gotta fish em out before they stunk up the place.

Human hair repels deer.

I've had some luck with discouraging deer by spraying human urine around my plants...on the pots and nearby wooden slats or whatever (even on the leaves). They seem to realize that someone else is marking the territory and they shouldn't be there.
