"Just like "24", only better!" "A female Jason Bourne!" -- Textnovel Readers

Some lines should never be crossed.

Living under a new identity in the tiny Northwestern tourist town at the base of Mount Hood, Melissa thought she had finally escaped her past. That is until an assassin tries to kill her and forces her back into a treacherous shadow world she vowed never to return.

That same night an unmanned robotic SUV slams into the limousine of the Vice President of the United States and detonates with several hundred pounds of explosives. Melissa soon discovers that the attack on the Vice President and the attempt on her own life are related.

And time is running out to find out who wants her dead and why she alone holds the key to saving the President of the United States.

Check out A Guest in the Jungle by James Polster, just re-issued and coming out tomorrow!
It's a page turner and hilarious, great beach and airplane book. I couldn't put it as well as this synopsis on the cover:

"It is high noon in the Amazon, and Whitehill is lost. In his Brooks Brothers pants, this lawyer from the midwest is easily the best-dressed man in the jungle. Unfortunately, he's no Indiana Jones.

Shanghaied by an evil botanist, Whitehill becomes the unwitting guest of a series of Indian tribes: the copycat Cofoya, the college-educated Lotimone, the barely human mole men, and the hostile Tsavi. He meets the strangest set of characters since "The Gods Must Be Crazy" and gets hopelessly entangled in environmental intrigue.

I'm not sure what you're interested in, as I love a wide variety of genres as long as they're well written, interesting, and fun to read. I've recently read a couple books I liked of two different genres. One was "The Pillars of the Earth," I know this was printed some time ago, but I never read it until now! The other is a new book a friend turned me onto, "The Winds of Moira," and awesome fantasy novel.

A Work In Progress This is a brand new release - YESTERDAY - if you are looking for a story that is hard to put down I think you might like this - Jeremy Jackson is an average man, like most of us, living a life dedicated to his family and work. During what appears to be a routine business trip to Las Vegas, he is involved in a serious traffic accident.
Upon regaining consciousness after the accident, Jeremy finds his world in chaos. He is interrogated about events he doesn't remember, actions he has taken but can't comprehend, and finds himself fighting an organization that most people don't know exists. The world he had become so comfortable in has been turned upside down. He has arrived at a crossroads, where a decision must be made-a decision to fight the giant that has taken over his life or to give up, but at what cost?
Regardless of the risks, Jeremy realizes it is time to change from being a work in progress to becoming the man destiny is challenging him to be-or to die trying.

A washed up writer, battling failure and the bottle; two murderous drifters, cutting a bloody swath through the Pacific Northwest, and a mysterious kid hobo with a dark and secretive past. Put them together on a freight train bound for hell, and you have Little Whiskey; an adventure on the high iron!

Little Whiskey is a action/adventure novel with a stong teenaged female heroine. She is a hobo, and a survivor in a fringe world where men domnate and survival of the fittest is law. Give her a try and she'll take you on a ride you won't soon forget.
