would like to announce a new foster-adoption children's workbook that I wrote with Regina M. Kupecky, LSW. It is called A Foster-Adoption Story: Angela and Michael's Journey: A Therapeutic Workbook for Traumatized Children. It tells the story of a brother and sister who excperience abuse, neglect, multiple foster care moves, sibling separation, and eventually adoption. Our goal was to help parents and therapists open the door to discuss difficult topics like abuse, neglect, birth parents, and loyalty conflicts.
Here is a review: "This much-needed resource for adoptive families clearly shows how a child perceives life after trauma and what healthy parents can provide. I think it should be required reading for potential parents."
