Not to worry, Glenn. It seems to go in cycles ... which I rather suspect have to do with going off the medication on the sly.

USOs? These are "Unidentified Submerged Objects", or UFOs going into, coming out of, or seen over bodies of water. By one account, 50% of all UFO reports are USOs associated with oceans, and 15% are associated with lakes. Below are some links to articles or sites associated with this aspect of the UFO Phenomenon.

http://www.waterufo.net/menu.htm
A site dedicated to USOs, with lists of seen/reported USOs, and short related articles. Of interest are some of the sightings in/out of ponds or streams, which may be simple "water collection/sampling". Even a brief article about abductees taken by USOs. They also explain the famous "Eltanin Antenna" photo, which looks like a huge underwater antenna, but is actually a type of native sponge. There is even an article about the Navy's interest in "sub-planes", or planes that can fly/manuever in both water and air, (see last link about AUTEC), which is one of the most interesting aspects of USOs.

http://ufo.whipnet.org/xdocs/underwater.ufo/index.html
Short article on some noteworthy USO cases. From a USO seen crashing upward thru 40 feet of South Pole ice, and then soaring up and away. To a 1963 incident near Puerto Rico, where a U.S. Navy sonar operator tracked an under-ocean craft going 150 knots, and down to a depth of 27,000 feet.

http://www.realufos.net/2009/05/new-ufo-hunters-underwater-area-51.html
From an episode of "The New UFO Hunters", comes a startling story of a secret U.S. Navy base on the cusp of the Bermuda Triangle, that is nick-named the 'Undersea Area 51'. The "Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center" (AUTEC), is the Navy's facility to study and test their oceanic devices and weaponry. Speculation is that the Navy is working with ETs and ET technology, near the magnetic and other anomolies of the Bermuda Triangle.

SPECULATION ALERT!
With an estimated 65% of UFO/USO reports associated with ET craft entering/leaving/seen over bodies of natural water, it is curious that these cases receive so little attention. Maybe because of the reliance on only a few eye witnesses, with no 'trace evidence'. Or maybe because of the USO's rapid entry/exit of the body of water, before the witnesses can grab their cameras. And, in a medium teeming with life, it's easy to mistake natural lifeforms (like the "Eltanin antenna") or phosphorescence, for an ET-alien presence.

Although it comes as no surprise that the U.S. Navy is extremely interested in USOs, and development of their own "sub-planes", like may be taking place at AUTEC.

SECRET ALIEN-ET BASES? Another fascinating topic. Below are links to related articles or sites:

http://www.karinya.com/bases1.htm
This site offers a map and a briefly-descriptive list of supposed Alien-ET bases, on Earth and elsewhere in our solar system.

http://www.mysteryportals.com/Underwater_UFO_Base_in_S_California.html
This is a 2006 FATE Magazine article, about a supposed undersea alien-ET base between S. California and Catalina Island. Reports of sightings include an egg-shaped craft in a blue haze, aerial spheres bobbing in oscillating flight, and gigantic cigar-shaped clouds. Unusual USO/UFO sightings are so frequent, that coastal residents sit out and wait in the evenings to see what shows up that night.

http://www.ufoevidence.org/documents/doc1569.htm
From the UK, comes an article about tunnels under Woodbridge AFB, built in the 1940s, that exit to the ocean. One exit tunnel is said to end a mile off Lowestoft, and another one in the ocean off Suffolk. UFOs/USOs supposedly use these tunnels, especially the FTs (Flying Triangles).

SPECULATION ALERT!
The idea of underground or undersea alien-ET bases has long been rumored in UFO circles. What's curious about the articles referenced above, is the possible combination of an underground-undersea alien-ET base in the UK. This may be evidence of a military connection to alien-ETs, also long rumored.

And the variety of craft and phenomenon seen between S. California and Catalina Island, raises the idea of an alien-ET undersea base that may be used by multiple species of ETs. This undersea base is an open-secret among residents and UFO researchers in S. California. I would surmise that the military is aware of it too.

There are also several books by Richard Sauder on underground/undersea bases and tunnels. Also, if you do a Google-search for "undersea UFO bases", there are some You Tube clips, and overhead photos of possible "structures" seen on the bottom of lakes and oceans. I didn't include them in this post, even tho' some looked very interesting, because I've seen too many PhotoShopped Google-Earth structures.

VERY OLD UFO REPORTS? This is another fascinating and under-researched area of the UFO Phenomenon. But there are some interesting sites and articles:

http://www.magoniax.com/downloads/index.html
This site researches very old UFO reports (some confused with meteors), from old newspapers, journals, and so on. Here's a sampling:
Germany 1810 - "luminous meteor ... floating and collecting its parts ... (joined together as a) globe of fire accompanied by a frightful noise ..."
Somersetshire (UK) 1661 - "Three stars descending from a duskie cloud, were joined together by a contiguous flame .."
St. Petersburg (Russia) 1880 - "brilliant balls were seen moving along a ravine ... one big yellow ball ... and two small purple balls at the sides of the large one"

http://www.project1947.com/
This interesting site studies UFO reports from before 1947. Most of their articles are on WWII's "foo fighters" and "ghost rockets" (or "Russian hail"). One researcher found military debriefing documents about the foo fighters, described by pilots as "three-inch silver discs (that would) cluster ... right wing went thru a cluster with no effect on the plane or engine ... Twenty feet from the discs (was) a mass of black debris of varying sizes in clusters of three by four feet." (Dark Matter?)
Other articles include "The Midland Fireball: DOW Chemicals' Early Involvement With UFOs", and "Russian Secret Weapons".

http://www.miqel.com/reading_library/archived_stories/1800s-unknown-crash.html
This is a story taken from 1865 newspaper articles in Cincinnati and St. Louis. A trapper alone in the mountains observes an exploding UFO or meteor, and smells sulfur. He follows a burn-trail thru the trees to an embedded rock in a mountainside, covered with hieroglyphics.

SPECULATION ALERT!
Granted, some or many of these older UFO reports are confused with meteors. In those superstitious days, meteors (like eclipses) were considered ill omens. So there may have been a psychological advantage to "dressing up" a meteor story to make it sound like it had been a UFO. The stories that DO sound like genuine UFO reports, seem to involve balls-of-light near Earth, possibly unmanned scanners/samplers.

The "foo fighters" of WWII are legendary, but widely blamed on pilot-fatigue and disorientation. The articles at Project 1947 are well researched, however, and the one article I quoted from was intriguing. 3" silver discs that a plane wing could pass thru unharmed? Hovering patches nearby of "black debris"? Sounds like these tiny discs were similar to our modern-day unmanned drones. And the fact that planes could fly thru them unharmed, possibly hints at an other-dimensional aspect. Could these nearby patches of "black debris" be Dark Matter, possibly produced when these mini-drones entered our dimensions of reality?

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 6, 2010 6:49:34 AM PST
M. Helsdon says:
"Could these nearby patches of "black debris" be Dark Matter, possibly produced when these mini-drones entered our dimensions of reality?"

No.

* Dark matter, if it exists, exists within our universe, not another "dimension".

* Dark matter is called dark matter, not because it is black or dark, but because it is a hypothetical form of matter that does not emit any EMS radiation. It is, effectively, invisible, both visually and across the entire width of the electro-magnetic spectrum.

MILABs? This is a little known aspect of alien-abductions. It states that our military is responsible for some or most of so-called alien abductions, using Mind Control techniques. Below are some links:

http://alienjigsaw.com/Milabs/projecto.html
This is a site of an abductee, with subsequent chapters on hers and others abduction experiences. She states that some abductees report seeing military or other Earthly humans watching the Greys perform medical experiments/sampling. She states that some so-called "alien abductions" are just military mind-control experiments. She explores the disturbing parallels and overlap beween experiences of alien abductees and mind control victims.

"MILABS: Military Mind Control and Alien Abductions" is a book by Helmut Lammer, that is considered the main and best source for people delving into the subject of MILABs. (Lammer is Austrian, and his book may not be available in the U.S. Amazon's listing directs you to other booksellers for this book.)

http://www.drboylan.com/milabs.html
This private blog asserts that the military has perfected holographic-image-technology, to fool abductees into thinking they are being abducted by aliens. This is possibly super-secret experimentation into the next level of "psychological warfare", or changing someone's past memories and thus current perceptions.

SPECULATION ALERT!
As frightening as this topic is, it would go a long way to explaining how so many people swear they've been abducted by aliens. When the aliens would have to be abducting thousands of people every night for the alleged-abductees' (false) memories to be true.

There is also a parallel theory, that alien-ETs have infiltrated our military, especially the officer ranks. Are these disguised-military, alien-ETs the ones seen by abductees observing the medical procedures on board ET craft? Do these military-ETs have an agenda totally separate from the "official" goals of the U.S. Military establishment?

Another theory is that this is all part of a much larger, alien-versus-alien agenda. Some of these military-abductions are said to involve horrific beatings and rape, with the victim's memories changed to think it was the Greys. Could this be a competing alien race, for control of Earth?

Dear Pests -

Psychology is considered a Science. And in my last post exploring MILABs, there is considerable speculation about mind-control and false memories, all firmly within the "Science" of psychology. And definitely related to this thread, of exploring topics that fit in the "Aliens" forum.

True, it certainly analyses the mental state of people who suffer from delusions and personality disorders.

False memories would certainly account for alien abduction claims.

TELEPORTATION? This is frequently another aspect of Time Travel, with rumors that the U.S. government has been researching "Space-Time Compression" from at least WWII. Certain places (like Arizona mountains) abound with stories of Time and Place Distortions, with unknown causes. Below are links to some of these stories:

http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1874760,00.html
From the venerable TIME Magazine, comes a story about brave scientists who claim they have discovered a way to prove that Teleportation is real.

http://www.philadelphia-experiment.com/
Discusses both the Philadelphia Experiment and Montauk Project, dealing with intentional Space-Time alterations. These government projects worked to create wormholes for instantaneous and "invisible" travel. What they got instead, in most cases, went horribly wrong.

http://www.tucsonweekly.com/tucson/mysteries-in-the-mountains/Content?oid=1072291
The mountains of Southern Arizona (especially the Superstition Mountains) abound with stories of Space-Time distortions. Wormholes that the miners call "Windows to the Otherworld", and the Native Americans call "sipapoos". A stone arch where someone steps thru - and disappears. (Possibly the genesis for Stargate?) Mysterious lights in the sky may indicate a UFO/ET connection.

SPECULATION ALERT!

Teleportation has long been a dream for many. Or traveling to a distant location in the blink of an eye, thru a wormhole. For the military, war-time applications are obvious: instant and "invisible" travel of huge craft. For the scientists and future space-explorers, a way to travel to distant planets without a craft.

So it's no surpise that the U.S. government got involved early, researching time-portals or wormholes for military applications. The Space-Time distortions frequently encountered in the Arizona mountains may have formed naturally, or with ET help. (And we never did get an answer to the huge lighted-wing UFO photographed and videotaped over Phoenix one night not so many years ago, did we?)

M. Helsdon says:

Umm, this isn't teleportation as described in science fiction but quantum teleportation also known as quantum entanglement: a qubit is transported a short distance, or more accurately the information the qubit represents, and it doesn't break the speed of light for the transfer of the information. If you read the supporting links to the Time article this is made a little clearer than the misleading and sensationalist front page.

"Discusses both the Philadelphia Experiment and Montauk Project, dealing with intentional Space-Time alterations. These government projects worked to create wormholes for instantaneous and "invisible" travel. What they got instead, in most cases, went horribly wrong."

The 'witness' Carl Allen was Carl Meredith Allen, a known prankster, and during the date of the supposed experiment the USS Eldridge was on her shakedown cruise in the Bahamas as she was commissioned on August 27, 1943, yet the hoax claims she was rendered invisible on July 22, 1943.

http://www.history.navy.mil/faqs/faq21-1.htm

The Phildelphia is another example of a false meme that is propagated with an increasing distortion of the facts. In fact, there is a very detailed exploration of the hoax by members of Marilyn's favorite organisation 'Scientific Exploration':

http://www.scientificexploration.org/journal/jse_08_1_vallee.pdf

This makes for fascinating reading. One quote should be taken to heart by Marilyn and similar 'truth-seekers': "One of the remarkable features of the study of the paranormal is the permanence and pernicious influence of hoaxes. Not only do spurious stories arise, as they would in any other field, but they are eagerly seized upon with little effort at initial verification, even by people who have an established reputation as objective researchers. Frank criticism of the process inevitably arises, but it is commonly mistaken for an attack upon the integrity or the intelligence of the advocates of the case who naturally feel defensive and harden their position. Those who continue to question the "evidence" tend to be assimilated with skeptics and their objections are often misrepresented. The media contribute to giving such stories an aura of respectability, to such an extent that tall tales come to represent the only "knowledge" of the paranormal the public will eventually cite in everyday conversation."

"The mountains of Southern Arizona (especially the Superstition Mountains) abound with stories of Space-Time distortions."

Superstition Mountains... Could that be a clue?

TRANSGENICS? This is the strange science of studying humans and other live Beings altered by the introduction of animal or plant DNA. Also called Genetic-Manipulation, there isn't a lot on this bizarre topic, but one site claimed that 30% of all U. S. government grants have gone to just such research. And if the government is secretly interested ... we should be too!

http://www.livescience.com/history/060913_since_mendel.html
FROM MENDEL ... This is a historical article from 2006, about how far transgenics have come.

http://www.actionbioscience.org/biotech/glenn.html
This is a very good discussion of the ethical concerns surrounding transgenics research.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/creation-of-gm-monkey-heralds-health-revolution-1691807.html
This article from last May (2009) announces the latest in transgenics, or genetic-manipulation: GM marmosets can "pass on" their inserted jellyfish DNA to their offspring. Scientists are hopeful they can create monkeys who can be given human diseases, for study and research.

SPECULATION ALERT!
H.G. Wells wrote about "Dr. Moreau's Island" over a century ago, where a mad-scientist was experimenting with crossing humans and animals, with monstrous results. I've even heard one strange story, that Big Foot is just such a human-primate "experiment", that managed to escape.

If you have read my previous posts, you'll see the speculation that the Grey ETs are possibly cloned-androids by the Insectoids. Making it the only example I can think of, about successfully crossing large chunks of plant and animal (insect) DNA. (The Greys don't have just one small plant attribute. According to William Cooper's lecture on EBE, they have an entire digestive system that is plant-like.)

For all the government grants out there to companies/researchers working on transgenics or genetic-manipulation, funny that we only hear a mere trickle of news, usually about some animal or another which is now florescent.

I've been researching this general area for some time. Mainly since I remember a young woman in S. California I was interviewing one day, who had the largest eye irises I'd ever seen. They were the size of quarters! I'm still wondering if she had some big-eyed ET DNA ...

No it isn't.

This is the field of genetically modified organisms (plant or animal) where DNA that originated in one species is introduced into another; a transgene.

This research has been going on since 1973 and is neither secretive nor sinister.

It originally used bascteria and then fruit flies, because their generations have a short life cycle though genetically modified mammals such as mice, rats, goats, pigs, cattle, dogs and primates have all been successfully modified. A bull was the first modified mammal, in 1990 with the human gene coding for lactoferrin, which was inherited by calves he sired; Hermann the Bull died in 2004.

And in reply to the later edit:

"H.G. Wells wrote about "Dr. Moreau's Island" over a century ago, where a mad-scientist was experimenting with crossing humans and animals, with monstrous results. I've even heard one strange story, that Big Foot is just such a human-primate "experiment", that managed to escape."

The Bigfoot myth predates the capability to produce transgenic animals.

"Making it the only example I can think of, about crossing plant and animal (insect) DNA."

Horizontal gene transfer can occur naturally (the green sea slug is an example). We have transferred plant genes into pigs to allow them to produce reduced saturated fatty acids. This involved placing the spinach desaturase gene (FAD2) into pigs.

Plant and animal genes are similar and even humans share a small proportion of gene sequences in common with plants; the same basic chemistry is why we can eat plants.

"For all the government grants out there to companies/researchers working on transgenics or genetic-manipulation, funny that we only hear a mere trickle of news, usually about some animal or another which is now florescent."

Then you are reading the wrong science magazines and websites.

"Mainly since I remember a young woman in S. California I was interviewing one day, who had the largest eye irises I'd ever seen. They were the size of quarters! I'm still wondering if she had some big-eyed ET DNA ..."

Alien life would probably be based on a biochemistry at variance with terrestrial biology, and might use different nucleotides or more probably something quite different to deoxyribonucleic acid as a basis for its equivalent of genetic inheritance.

The human genome contains a wide variety of physical characteristics, and large eyes are simply one variant; we are all 'mutants' to one degree or another.

Abnormaly large eyes are cool. Certainly something we should select when we start creating designer babies. Make people look more like anime characters. Blue, pink, and green hair is also a must. Maybe introduce some firefly DNA so we can have glowing eyes too.

M. Helsdon says:
"Abnormaly large eyes are cool. Certainly something we should select when we start creating designer babies. Make people look more like anime characters."

Such a modification could be very detrimental: our eyes only grow in size in the womb and for the three months after birth: after birth our eyes grow by less than a third. This means that some very significant re-engineering would be required to permit larger eyes; the eyes are set in the sockets in the skull and the head of a human newborn is about as large as it can get to have any chance of safely passing through the birth channel. To have larger eyes and still permit natural birth the skull would have to be modified to reduce the space available to the brain.

If you allowed eyes to grow beyond three months then you would also have to engineer the extraocular muscles; this would change the appearance of the face. Any weakness in these muscles if they were not strong enough to manipulate the extra large eyes would reduce the ability to focus quickly and perhaps the coordination of both eyes. So you might be cute but have poor visual acuity.

"Blue, pink, and green hair is also a must. Maybe introduce some firefly DNA so we can have glowing eyes too."

Having glowing eyes would reduce their capability to see as the eye has to take in light not emit it. It might be easier to have refractive converging system eyes, like those of a cat or owl, and this could provide enhanced night vision but inferior day vision, but this would require quite a bit of modification to the genome; a slitted iris would also be required to protect the eye in bright conditions.

I imagine you could be engineered to have bioluminescence in your abdomen like a firefly, though why you would want glowing hindquarters... 9-)

There does seem to be an evolving pathology relating to:

<grey aliens with plant-like digestion constructed by insectoid aliens who may be working in co-operation or against humans who may have retro-engineered alien tech in mysterious underground bases where there may or may not be aliens who can or cannot walk through walls unless prevented by faraday cages and sky spiral missile malfuctions are used to open dimensional portals to trans-dimensional aliens who may or may not be the same as the aforementioned aliens with mind control of those not involved in the aforementioned conspiracies whilst the aliens have submerged bases and are hiding in some mountain ranges or beyond portals... ... ...>

Did I forget to mention antigravity, teleportation, crop circles and the giant incoming flying saucer from Planet X?

"And by the way, my name is fake."
