Does anyone know of any PRACTICAL guides for alternatives to viagra or cialis?

All I found was this.... the rest seem too esoteric or difficult. Has anyone read this or know of any other good sources of REALLY SOLID information?

Sexual Health Secrets For Men: How To Boost Your Libido, Stop Premature Ejaculation, and End Sexual Dysfunction, Along with Fitness Tips for Gloriously Satisfying Sex

Let me know. Thanks.

J. Michael says:
it is important to know that there are no equally comparable alternatives to a pharmeceutical drug. their specificity of action and effect is what makes them what they are. this is why alternatives seem esoteric and difficult: Herbs can be a very powerful healing aid, and with a properly prescribed selection and dosage, can achieve great results, however, the chemistry is far too complex and unreliable to understand. this is partly because of the complexity of the herbal chemistry in its raw state, and partly because as the plant adapts to the location in which it was grown, the weather that season, and other factors, its chemical makeup changes, just like yours and mine. behavioral, physical and psychological factors also play in deeply. so much so, that one of the first questions an ED specialist will ask is if there has been any infidelity in the relationship. guilt is the #1 cause of ED... this illustrates the body/mind connection, and further, you need to know that traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, and psychiatry all agree on this point (not the guilt, but the body mind piece).
if the problem is Prematurity, you can put some numbing lube or orajel inside a condom. that oughtta slow things down a little.
whatever you do, understand that this is a complex issue, and your best bet is to seek professional help. acupuncture can be very helpful, as can a traditional self massage routine performed regularly and sincerely (you can probably google it)
hope that helps. and again, check in with a professional and give it a month or two.

Have your testosterone levels checked! And look at your diet. Are you eating real food? Are you hydrated? Are you healthy?
What type of alternatives are you looking for and why? There are plenty of wonderful herbs available! And read above what J. Michael has offered.

Look at CoQ10 and l-Arginine (found in NSP X-Action), along with finding a healthy lifestyle.

Studies show that lowering your cholesterol can help increase sexual function. So, taking a high dose of niacin every day can probably help, but you have to take a lot of it and the flush can be a little annoying.

Info Maven,
An erection is simple hydraulics, and clear unclogged arteries and veins are required. This may sound off-base to you, but how much meat and dairy (and fat) are you consuming daily? Try reducing these amounts drastically, or preferably totally, and see if this helps. If your veins and arteries are filling up with plaque over the years, you will not be able to sustain an erection. A new diet is required, and a new lifestyle. There are many excellent books, including "The China Study", by T. Colin Campbell and also "Prevent & Reverse Heart Disease", by Caldwell B. Esselstyn, M.D. Please note former President Bill Clinton's recent dietary changes, and he is now involved in health programs with these two men and also Dr. Dean Ornish, who has written books as well. Books from this field of research note ED as a lack of healthy blood flow, which is caused by the buildup of plaque due to cholesterol in arteries and veins. Some individuals do have high cholesterol due to genetics, but the vast vast majority of us have it due to our diets. It's worth a try, Info Maven, isn't it?

P. Cadrin says:
As a student of Specialized Kinesiology, I see all the time that claims regarding the use of particular products for specific problems is too generalized. It may work for many, but not all. If you can find someone who practices this holistic therapy, they can test specifically which course of treatment will help you the most. When my wife needed a prenatal vitamin I tested her on the available products and discovered that she needed an amino acid supplement along with the prenatal vitamins to derive the greatest benefit. This is just one example.
If you want to look into this therapy, check out these key terms:
Applied Kinesiology
Specialized Kinesiology
Health Kinesiology
Touch for Health

These are not related to Kinesiology/kinesiologists.

ColdShot says:
seriously try eating coconut oil....sounds weird sure, but who cares if it works?!
also take a bit of cod liver oil, it is good for hormone function...and that's what you want right?
if you're feeling adventerous and you try it...give it a month or so
but after all that abuse you went thru...I don't know how your body will respond.
I wish you well tho
and a nutritional doctor told me not to take the arginine for too long and to take it with ornithine, [ but I no longer take it regularly ]
find a qualified nutritionist and ask them to verify can also ask about the cod liver oil and coconut oil too

I'll be interested in hearing how it goes for you.

I have used a number of herbal approaches and they are far superior to any pharmaceutical drug such as Viagra.

Hi ColdShot,
How much of the coconut oil do you need to take and how often? Also, the cod liver oil? I've got Coconut oil in our cabinet and my husband definitely needs some help, as the little blue pill isn't working so good. I'll read up on what it says in the book you mentioned, or go on their web-sight.

Applied kinesiology (AK) and Evidence-Informed Medicine have been combined in two new textbooks that might vastly improve your working knowledge of AK. Muscle testing as a science and art is discussed, leading to the importance of structural balance. These textbooks also present the most comprehensive evidence of the outcomes of AK treatment ever offered A comprehensive updating of the scientific rationales and approaches of AK and the importance of the manual muscle test in physical-emotional-nutritional diagnosis. Over 500 pages of highly illustrated material from leaders in the field of applied kinesiology ensure the anatomy and techniques involved in the application of AK are easier to follow than before. Many subjects are covered here more extensively than ever before. An example is the chapter on therapy localization and challenge. Both animal and human experiments are discussed that show how the body immediately reacts when either therapy localization or challenge stimulate the sensorimotor system. The chapter on AK and Traditional Chinese Medicine covers applied kinesiology's unique methods of evaluating the meridian system, as well as the contemporary research showing the myofascial system as a metasystem capable of conducting Qi throughout the body. The chapter on Foot and Ankle dysfunction is the most complete ever written in AK! Expanded coverage includes additions on the Systemic Conditions of lower body dysfunctions, comprehensively updated AK research and its application to evidence-based approaches to lower body problems.

Anyone who believes herbal alternatives do not work is extremely limited and narrow minded in their knowledge.
In Indonesia and Southeast Asia there are numerous herbal substitutes that work even better than the chemical junk of the west, and do not leave the characteristic hangover headache feeling the day after. Kuku Bima is one good example, there are many others and they are healthy too. They are not miracle potients, but they do work really well.
