I agree, it's very hard to find current music that's actually decent. Already a fan of music from the 70's-90's but the great thing is that there's so much of it to keep me entertained for a lifetime! Good suggestion!

Check out Hale May

Dark alt/country Americana with some elements of rock. Saw them a few nights back and was blown away.

Also check out:

Sharon Von Etten
Zola Jesus
Father John Misty

New Model Army......been around for 30 years and still flying under the radar. Intense live band and Justin Sullivan, the singer/writer of the band crafts intense songs about the decline of western civilation.

Check out "Hale May" and I might suggest listening to their song "Jealous". It's quite dark and delicious.
Also - "Grimes" album "Night Visions" and the new album from "Sanitgold" is quite amazing.

Here's a unique band:

Pretty different and their first album, The Divine EP, just became available here on Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, etc.

Hope you like it too! These guys are pushing to be big and need all the support they can get.

A Very Long Trip to Nowhere
Wait what is this? Folkie? No wait it's country type stuff, no wait now it's kinda rock and rolly.. Nah it's just weird man...
Back in the day of lo fi( the 90's), Pavement, Sebadoh, Furtips, Ed Gray and Wovoka Jr. Who? That was that guy from Horny Genius that did some lo fi tapes back then and did a few of the things with another ex Genius guy and some ex Genius hangers-on other songs. Now coming out in the modern digital format( sounds better than 8 tracks!) Have fun! Give a listen!

So Long Gemini [Explicit]

This is my band So Long Gemini. We are an alternative rock/grunge band. I you were a fan of 90's rock we really embody that vibe. STP, Alice in Chains, Soungarden, Pearl Jam were all heavy influences for us. I can't really give you an unbiased opinion as I am in the band. I would appreciate you giving it a listen and let me know what you think. I enjoy feedback.

Check out this band, Prey For Tomorrow. I heard them on a local college station and went to see them for their CD Release party in Bowling Green, Ohio. They put on an awesome show!
