I would add That Time on the Ledge by Mew. In my opinion it could take out any of those on any of those other lists. It's just so breathtakingly beautiful.

Beat City - Raveonettes
Red Eyes & Tears - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

I wanted to put Special K by Placebo and New Slang by The Shins too. You'd think I was a depressed emo kid with some of those selections. I'm not depressed, emo or a kid.

How about everything on A Perfect Circle's Mer de Norms albulm. Love that entire albulm! White stripes' Iky Thump is another good one. Is it possible to listen to any of their stuff and not wanna tap you foot along to the beat or just start dancing in the middle of the street? I have yet to figure out a way to listen to them in public and not get strange look from old folks, or whistles from perverted guys.

Was Soundgarden's Superunknown from the twothousandsies? I can't remeber. If it was that should definatley be on the list!

I think that whole album was really fun -- "Rag and Bone" is probably my favorite track. :D

"Was Soundgarden's Superunknown from the twothousandsies?"

Nope, I'm pretty sure it was from 1994. (I remember because I was just starting high school when my older sister got it -- she used to play the heck out of "Spoonman"!)

Interesting that FatHouseFly would make fun of everybody's tastes, then disappear without sharing his. Well, I think you guys have great taste. Mine are all over the map, so I'll follow Blair Googer's idea of listing my 10 most-played in iTunes. (However, once a band pops up, they're out of the list after that...just to show a better range instead of having 6 songs by the same band in my top 10.)

Muse - "Knights of Cydonia"
Bloc Party - "Song for Clay"
Porcupine Tree ".3"
Moth - "Helpless"
Music for Animals - "Nervous in New York"
Arctic Monkeys - "When the Sun Goes Down"
Soular - "Over You"
Dredg - "Ode to the Sun"
Elizabeth - "Dance Into the Heart of Your Enemies"
The Lord Henry - "Oh Margot"

Posted on Oct 5, 2010 2:23:41 PM PDT

Mew - "156"
Dredg - "Same Ol' Road"
Anberlin - "(fin)"
Porcupine Tree - "Blackest Eyes"
Mae - "Someone Else's Arms"
He Is Legend - "China White"
Blindside - "Roads"
Coldplay - "Yes" or "Violet Hill"
Mute Math - "Control"
Jimmy Eat World - "Sweetness"

Alkaline Trio - "Radio"
At The Drive-In - "One-Armed Scissor"
Brand New - "Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades"
Fair to Midland - "April Fools and Eggmen"
Guster - "Amsterdam"
The Mars Volta - "Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus"
Muse - "Stockholm Syndrome" or "Map of the Problematique"
Thrice - "The Earth Will Shake"
