What is A1 Courier Services?

I know that some people have asked that a couple of times on here.

It seems to happen once in awhile. I am not sure if it is a regional thing or not.
No one seems to make a comment though about if they are good or not.

However, they have been used before by Amazon.

From my experience, whenever something has been shipped to me via A1, it arrives the same day, because it's being shipped from Amazon's Deleware warehouse. I've always thought it was a Manhattan only delivery courier, but I'm not sure about that.

Anyway, A1 is fantastic.

I bought the Frag Fx controller for the PS3 and Amazon shipped it using A-1 Courier. The first shipment never arrived so Amazon shipped another using A-1 and it never arrived. I told Amazon I will cancel any orders that are being shipped by A-1 Courier in the future. From my experience - A-1 is not reliable.

Well, I checked all the doorsteps but one - the steps leading down to it are coated with ice - and no package. I called customer service and they are sending another with 1st Day shipping. If they use the same service, it will be interesting where they leave this one. <grin>

A-1 Courier royally screwed up delivering my Valentines present for my children. I ordered it early Feb 12 and it is now Fwb 20th and I still have not received anything.

Amazon actually called me and asked if they should leave the package in the hall. I said ok. It wasn't there when we checked. No one would have stolen it, because it's a private office. I think they left it at the wrong address. I checked and it was the A1 courrier. Amazon apologized and is sending me a new one, but it'll take 6 weeks since it's now out of stock. I must say, in the 6 years that I've been using amazon for a huge portion of my shopping, only 3 packages have been lost, and they've always apologized and replaced them without any hassle. There's always going to be the element of human error.

Our mail room has never heard of them, or had something delivered from them, except that a number of other people in the building were asking about their Amazon packages as well. According to the tracking information on My Account it was "Delivered" on the 14th. I emailed Amazon and they said that the package was being returned to them as undeliverable and that I would have to reorder the items and they would refund my money. I reordered the items and they have shipped with A1 once again. I am trying to have them delivered to my boyfriend's office (so much for a surprise for him). Hopefully they will get there but supposedly the package was picked up for delivery (in Delaware, I am in Philadelphia) last week and the tracking information hasn't changed since and when I try using A1's site there is no record of anything with that tracking number. This is the first time I have ever had a problem with something being shipped by amazon but I am VERY disappointed.

I'll put it this way....they make DHL feel like one of those instant teleporter things from The Jetsons. They are to shipping what Darius is to grammar. I think the Steak Sauce company knows more about shipping a package (let alone in a timely fashion) than these jokers. To Amazon's credit, they are rather good about fixing the damage done by these guys. For vday, they not only gave me a full refund, but were able to give me $7.50-ish, since that's about how much more the item cost locally.

I had some books returned back to Amazon as "undeliverable" because A-1 did not recognize my address. The development I live in is a year and a half old (and every other carrier has delivered successfully). Amazon could not gaurantee who my shipper would be for future orders and A-1 was extremely rude and unhelpful when I tried to find out why they did not recognize my address.

Oh they claim they've been here and I wasn't home. But I'm disabled and I have the flu, that's the reason I didn't venture out to Barnes and Noble on my own. I ordered a book over the weekend and was just notified that it's shipping via A1 Courier Services. I hope I actually get the package... =o(

If A1 fails to deliver, Amazon.com is very good about re-shipping with a new carrier at no cost. You lose a few days and gain a headache though.

Imagine my surprise when, 15 minutes ago, there's a knock at my door and it's a delivery guy. A1 Courier at your service ma'am! lol

I only received notification from Amazon this morning that it was shipped and the estimated arrival date was Wednesday. Well, I'm definitely happy with their service at this point. I've never had a package delivered at 7:30pm before. He was very courteous as well.

Weird thing was, I swear the guy was wearing a UPS uniform... Moonlighting perhaps?
