I have my new TV and DVD players hooked up and need HD.
My questions are: Any problems with Dish, would I save money
with a bundle deal,phone service not a big deal I use E-Mail.
The only cable service in the area charges me $101 plus for regular
expanded basic TV and internet with no HD and will charge extra
for HD and will raise rates $4.50 a month soon.
I am a movie buff not a TV view, prefer DVDs to any type of TV
programs even the pay per view channels.

If you prefer DVDs to TV, have you considered forgoing cable or dish and just getting an HD antenna for your local channels? We had to spend $250 or so for the antenna, but we needed the biggest one they make since we are about as far away from the towers as you can get and still be in the same metro area. If you live closer, you can get buy with a smaller antenna. You could also subscribe to streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu Plus and get all the movies you can watch for a fraction of the price of cable.

Direct TV will set you up with a free install free HD and free dvr at the moment, and you'll spend around $40/mo. FAR superior to cable in my opinion. I prefer to watch shows recorded on a dvr then hulu because you can skip the ads!

Direct is running me about $60 and I have no extras other than a HD dvr and 2 boxes for 2 tvs. It's far superior to Comcast cable and Dish, gives me more channels and is cheaper than Dish who keeps raising prices and gives less. I don't bundle because it costs more. I have Comcast for my wireless Internet and AT&T for phone. It's best to check prices in your area because they do differ. But service is the same.
