Does anybody have problems playing certain movies? All of my tv shows and most of my movies play fine but certain movies just wont play right at all. I own 30 days of night and fast and the furious and on 30 days its really choppy and wont play smoothly at all and on fast and furious the sound of the actors voice doesnt match there lips so thats really annoying. I was wondering if anybody has problems like this im pretty sure its not my computer because everything else i have plays perfect but these two movies wont play right.

Yeah, I've had no issues playing this stuff on my Tivo...though I would NEVER "buy" stuff through download services like this, because you don't really own it. You've only got it as long as the service sticks around, you've got a fast internet connection to it, etc.

Think of it as a rental...and at that it's a terrible deal next to Netflix or your local video store, but at least it's not completely outrageous.

if all you got was an internet link you couldn't play it offline and with amazon on demand you can play the movie offline because it downloads the digital copy of the movie to your computer unlike netflix which streams movies to your computer and you can redownload to your smart phone or ipad which is why I buy the movies when I can afford to

@ Daniel- How did you manage to get this onto an iPad? I downloaded the file for portable devices, and its a WMV that refuses to convert to something that iTunes will work with.

Regarding WolfPup's comment on owning what you buy on here. Amazon has a Download option so that you can store it into a storage device of your choice such as an ipod or hardrive. And regarding your video quality and the lag in dialog refreshing my page usually solves the problem which is caused normally by a bad internet connection. Amazon tunes down quality when connection is low so as to avoid stopping the show or movie from playing and sitting on "buffering".

I'm having the same problem- purchased Secretariat & it won't play- all other shows & movies in my library play normally (the ones i tried). Keep getting an service error message to try again in a few minutes.

Yeah you can download it, but you don't own it/can't move it without Amazon's permission.

I occasionally rent stuff from Amazon on my Tivo though, when it's on sale. (Otherwise it's horribly priced, plus lower quality/no extra/etc.)

That is the role of your local machine (computer setup). What file format do you have? Try out converter is a good balance between price and performance. WMV converted to MPG on an iPad? Not sure, but it is possible on PC.
