Sea for Me says:
The problem: ALL subscribe & save items ship as standard, even when you are a paying member of Amazon Prime. If you pay w/o the subscribe & save discount, you can get your 2-day shipping. It feels like a double standard. I think an appropriate compromise, though equally confusing, would be for Amazon to ship slowly on scheduled orders (because we're expecting them on that schedule), but give us our Prime two-day shipping when we ask for item to be delivered "now" or as an extra delivery. Don't penalize us for buying more than our subscribed plan -- we're spending money on Amazon! Otherwise, we'll need to spend it in a local store to get our supplies when they're needed. The site doesn't serve as a convenience when you can't predict the arrival date, especially for items which are staples for busy families.

@ E. Cole,

Amazon owns, they purchased them back in 2010 I believe. It's been quite some time. They are one in the same and probably use some of the same warehouses. I won't purchase diapers from either outfit because of this whole Amazon Mom slap to the face. I don't mind paying the same or a bit more locally. At least I know they won't jack me around at Target or Wal-Mart.

I ordered from because I was a first time customer...I got$10 off (which beat the Amazon price) AND free 2 day shipping! I need diapers again and although amazon beats their price by like only $2 at least the diapers come in sooner and I don't have to go buy to the store.

REALLY, SUPER dissapointed in Amazon. I USED to sing their praises.

Thank you! I just changed mine to the first as, whether it will actually "work" to get the 30% off I'm not sure...but it now says they will arrive by January 30th-February 1st...but doesn't it have to "go through" by January 24th to get the 30% off? If yours took a week mine might not have time? I guess I'll get emails and can cancel a shipment as long as I pay attention to the emails...

D. Roberts says:
At the very top of your whole list of subscriptions (not the individual subscription) you should see a link that says "Your recurring deliveries will arrive by the XXX day of the month. Change delivery day". I changed it to the first (it was set at something like the 24th).

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 19, 2012 9:28:30 AM PST
How did you set to Feb 1st? I only had options for the month...

D. Roberts says:
They were old subscriptions (prior to the reduction in savings), I just made the changes hoping for an early shipment. I couldn't change to January, so I set it at Feb 1st, figuring I could cancel the shipment if it occurred after the 24th and the discount wasn't 30%.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 19, 2012 7:32:14 AM PST
Oh, so you created a new subscription?

D. Roberts says:
They were on different months (and days). It didn't create the orders immediately though (I actually changed the settings about a week ago), so keep holding out hope! Seems like as long as they create the order by the 24th, you should get the 30% off.
Also, a 3rd order was generated, still at the 30% off. That should save me from having to clip coupons for a few months (and give me some motivation to get the potty training done).

Hi D. Roberts, I just tried mine and couldn't do it - did you change from another month? Mine were already set to ship in February so perhaps that's why...

D. Roberts says:
I was able to change my next month's delivery on Huggies and Luvs to Feb 1, and they are both "shipping soon" at 30% off. One last hurrah before cancelling the subscriptions altogether.
By the way, normally they wouldn't ship anywhere near this soon, I think Amazon adjusted it (silently) to make a minor concession without publicly making any changes.

i cancelled all my subscribe and saved items. The amazon mom was good while it lasted but i don't want to spend $79 dollars for a year's membership.

How could they just send out that email and not even give us a chance to order more diapers before the 24th? It is extremely horrible on thier part. All the loyalty I had for Amazon just went down the drain. Their customer service representatives keep telling me different things, (you have to wait 7 days before you can place an extra order... I never had to wait before!). And now they are telling me that we cannot order anymore diapers or wipes at the current subscribe and save price because of the changes being made to Amazon Mom and Subscribe and Save. How can they change the polices BEFORE the date they are giving us? It was very clever and nasty on their part!!! I left a few complaints with their customer service people and really hope they will do something about this.

Maybe I am just stupid. But, after all of this discussion, I still can't figure out:
A. Is Amazon going to charge my cc $79 on the 24th if I don't cancel my Amazon Mom's Membership?
B. Is it only the free shipping that ends on the 24th, or does the 20% end as well?

This is OP. Good thing I just got a shipment of diapers 2 weeks ago.

I agree with DeAnne, very nasty to grey out the extra shipment button before the 24th. I went and created another S&S for the same diapers. Had to pay $4 more (20% off instead of the 30% I was getting) but it was the only way to get another box sent before the 24th. Guess I'll start looking elsewhere for diaper deals.

Way to screw us Moms, Amazon. Good job.

If we could afford or wanted to pay the $79 for Prime then we wouldn't be on this site looking for S&S deals.

I thought it was purchases over $49 at

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 13, 2012 2:32:14 PM PST
I just signed it and left a reason - they very specifically greyed out the buttons for diapers and wipes subscriptions ONLY - not for other baby food subscriptions or an Aveeno subscription I have...and it's not because they are out of stock, because my Aveeno subscriptoin happens to be out of stock temporarily and the notes on my account/subscriptions are clearly very different...this clearly was something deliberate and I think it's pretty nasty...

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 13, 2012 2:24:18 PM PST
I found the same thing! I think that's pretty nasty, to take away that button after sending out the email. When I was first notified that my Amazon Mom benefits were expiring, I specifically called amazon and asked them about it, and the rep even double-checked that I would still get 30% off....I find this to be terribly misleading and extremely poor customer service!!!

It's typical marketing. They will give it to us, take it away, make us mad, then give it BACK to us with some grand production (akin to a Grand RE-Opening). That is my prediction.

Makes them look good and new buyers will be none the wiser.

My 2 cents.

What ever happened to customer loyalty? We buy everything from Amazon, now because I don't want to pay for their prime membership they are going to punish me and take away an awesome program that they offered and created and gave to us. What a slap in the face to someone that has been loyal for 10 years or more. It was brand loyalty that lead me to buy mp3's from amazon instead of itunes. books for kindle app to use on my rooted nook or iphone, and all kinds of computer and or media electronics, not to mention just about everything we purchased for Christmas and birthdays. Not anymore, I can buy nook books from Barnes, I can buy my MP3 's from Itunes, I can get my electronics from various sales locally, If you dont appreciate all my years of loyalty and want to punish me and take away a perk you created and gave to me in the first place, then good riddance, you don't deserve our hard earned money anymore.

That's how the rich get richer....they steal from the people who are trying to save a bit of money while raising a family in a very tight and unstable economy! First, they stopped printing the diaper and wipe coupons in the parenting mags, then they take away 2 day shipping AND NOW they drop the discount price...sounds to me like they were taking money from their other website ( I am thoroughly fed up with the way amazon treats its faithful customers. At this rate their greedy executive decisions will drive all their customers away. BTW...does this change effect other subscribe and save items or is it only related to the diapers and amazon prime?

I just tried to order more boxes of diapers and wipes before the policy change on January 24 by clicking on "Extra delivery". They don't even let me do that anymore!!!

It's the policy change and lack of notice that becomes a major problem for us Moms. We are super busy and don't have any slack in our Time, and Financial budgets for changes without notice. But thanks for you thoughts bud!

I also got the email and have already cancelled my Amazon Mom account. I don't feel okay with being spammed and getting nothing out of it. I will be purchasing diapers from Wal-Mart and Fred Meyer from now on.
