Anybody know how to get rid of the green ear on vintage dolls.

I hear if you remove the head very carefully and get some oxy acne medicine and put it on a Q-tip and swab it on the inside of the head where the green is located & let sit for a few days, then rinse...it should work fairly well. :)

Update...I have been working on a doll with green ear using the Oxy treatment. It actually isn't a few days. you need to rinse & re-do every few days and set in sunlight, and it takes about 2 to 3 weeks to get most of it gone. :)

EEEK!

The best way to remove green ear from a pre 1969 Barbie is CLR on a tiny piece off
a cotton ball. Leave it for several days. I lay the doll on the edge of the bath tub.
You may need to add a little each day or so (a cotton swab works).

Oxy is great to remove any types of stains on vinyl dolls. You may need sunlight to work faster, but
too much for too long can break down the vinyl and cause it to yellow or turn brownish.
Don't let either one get on face paint.

By the way... the fumes off the CLR will acutally remove some of the green from the hair
if any is on it.
