So I pre ordered Target exclusive digibook of Dark knight Rises which is pretty cool packaging but retails at hefty $29.99. anyways, I just received an e mail from target saying there is a problem with their supplier, so the order has been canceled. but to make it up to me, they will send an absolutely free copy to my adress once it becomes available. around december 10, to 15th. sounds like a good deal to me! wait for a week or 2 and receive it for free. did anyone else get this e mail? are we still getting the digibook version? or will they send us the standard Blu ray?

I did also but I'm wondering if it in fact is the digibook or just a regular copy

They are available in the stores, as I saw about 15 copies of the DKR digibook for US$24.99 in my local Target on Tuesday (Dec 4, 2012).

Target probably pays money to Warner to get the exclusive offering.

Yeah Target pays big bucks for the exclusives to these releases or runs some sort of cross promotion in the store so only they will be able to sell that version there. Amazon never has any special exclusive versions it seems compared to the brick and mortar stores like Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart etc.

I got the Target Exclusive, I figured the blu-ray was 25 dollars already so might as well pay an extra 3 dollars for the nice box it came in. The comic is a joke, its just the opening scene of the movie in comic form when Bane captures Dr. Pavil. But the case is very nice.
