I'm waiting for all blu-ray's to be produced in the 16:9 aspect ratio. I'm sick of renting a movie in blu-ray only to find that it contains six inches of ugly horizontal black bars. This really spoils the viewing experience in HD for me.

Apollo 13

There's nothing you can do about it. I like it 16X9 formatted movies as well but, it never going to change.

L. Hansen says:
It's nice to see so many people agreeing on such a wide variety of films, from the classics of the 30's and 40's to Star Wars, Alien, Indy, and foreign movies, etc.

But how could I have left The Last Picture Show off my earlier list?

Simply put, one of the greatest movies ever. And I know the black & white cinematography would look gorgeous in Blu-ray. The DVD is already pretty good, but this one would be worth the upgrade. So many great moments:
* "You see? This is what I get for bettin' on my own home town ballteam. I ought'a have better sense."
"Wouldn't hurt to have a better home town"
* "He was sweeping you sons of bitches, he was sweeping!"

I know there's some duplicates here, BUT if ANYONE from ANY of the studios/license holding companies stumbles across this, let it be like a voting system and let these people know there is more than one person in Kentucky who liked some of these movies which should OBVIOUSLY be ported...

UP
Pulp Fiction
Star Trek '09
Fight Club
Hardware (HELL, still awaiting true DVD for this one)
The Dark Crystal
The Labyrinth
12 Monkeys
The Crow
The Black Hole (and I'd also like SOMETHING OTHER than Event Horizon to come up on Amazon when I search this!)
TRON (PLEASE???)
Amalie
Ghostbusters
Minority Report
Mars Attacks
A.I.
Killer Clowns from Outerspace (Leave me alone...)
Escape from New York
Big Trouble in Little China
Time Bandits

I missed a lot many of you have mentioned...

I just hope someone out there is listening...

Walking Tall says:
John-Paul T. Coughlin,

Toy Story 3 is still in production, and scheduled to be released in theaters next year, so your wish list for a Blu-ray is very premature.

Coming out next summer...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toy_Story_3

SO... since you've edited your post to now show that you see that it is a movie in the making (instead of your original insistance that it does not exist at all), can you undersand my inclusion of it in a list of Blu-Rays I am waiting for?

Walking Tall says:
John-Paul T. Coughlin,

Well, you'll still have to wait for the movie to be made first, and complete its theatrical run, before the Blu-ray release months after. Remember the old cliche: Don't count your chickens before they hatch, because anything can happen.
