the tv and family deals have no blu-ray options.

Guesses! I love guesses.

9am thru 11am- clue "Bali Ha'i may call you" on Blu = SOUTH PACIFIC
11am thru 1pm- clue "I'll never stop saying Maria" 50th Anniversary Edition Box Set = WEST SIDE STORY
1pm thru 3pm- clue "All day long I'd biddy biddy bum" on Blu = FIDDLER ON THE ROOF
3pm thru 6pm- clue "Traveling through the country is so thrilling" on Blu = THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS
6pm thru 9pm- clue "Have you met my good friend Maria" on Blu = WEST SIDE STORY (again?)
9pm thru ??(mid?)- clue "My gift is my song, and this one's for you" on Blu = MOULIN ROUGE

If I am right, I should get some sort of no-prize.

Michael Yuen says:
Moulin Rouge should not be on this list. It's not Paint Your Wagon. The lyric is from "I Feel Pretty". It is most likely the regular blu-ray edition vs. the anniversary offered earlier.

For those interested, Best Buy is giving you another shot at that Amazon Lightning Deal from Thursday 11-29-12 some were interested in:
The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (The Fellowship of the Ring / The Two Towers / The Return of the King Extended Editions) [Blu-ray] (2012)
$39.99.

Order quickly if interested as we all know how fast Best Buy makes things "unavailable for shipping."

Less than 24 hours since I posted about Lord of the Rings, and Best Buy is already out of stock online and item now can only be picked up at your local store if they have it.
It's a week long sale, so if you wanted it, keep looking at Best Buy dot com for in stock online as it may change (in case you don't have any other way of getting it, if interested).

Gojira / Godzilla (The Criterion Collection) [Blu-ray] (1954) - is now available for the first time in over 3 weeks at Best Buy dot com, however, like the Lord of the Rings thing, get it now, don't wait.
Very, very few stores have it in store.
$17.99 is the continuing price that won't last long.
Note: search for it as "Gojira" at Best Buy if you're not looking for other Criterion Collection material.
It doesn't come up under a general search for Godzilla (at least, not yet).
Amazon hasn't answered to this yet and it remains at around $25 on Amazon.

Edit: Best Buy shows available again on Lord of the Rings.
I'll bet that won't last long...

Edit #2: Amazon just price matched Gojira / Godzilla (Criterion) at $17.99 once again.
If you're interested, I wouldn't wait.
3 weeks ago when Best Buy sold out online, Amazon responded by raising the price to around $25.
You can bet in the final week of Criterion sales like this, Amazon is watching what happens (as other titles have risen in price as Best Buy sold out).

The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (The Fellowship of the Ring / The Two Towers / The Return of the King Extended Editions) [Blu-ray] (2012)
Now at Amazon for the Best Buy price match - $39.99.
(At least until Best Buy posts "out of stock online" - then who knows...)

Ice Age: Continental Drift - release date is tomorrow (Tuesday)
$21.99 everywhere at this point except at Shopko.
If you've heard of this regional store across the country (mostly midwest but strange I found one near Oakland or San Jose, CA some years ago), they have it at $19.99 - which can't be found on their website, only printed ads for the store.

Best Buy website Deal of the Day has the Best Buy exclusive combo pack of Life (Oprah) and Frozen Planet (Attenborough) for $16.99

7 bds, but the site says the regular price is $19.99. Good Deal anyways since Frozen Planet alone is $34.78 on Amazon.

Also, if you've had your eye on some of those 3-movie packs, like:
2001 / A Clockwork Orange / The Shining,
Superman / Superman II (Donner Cut) / Superman Returns,
Ocean's Eleven / Twelve / Thirteen,
Twister / Poseidon / The Perfect Storm,
and many, many more...
Amazon dropped many of those types of 3-packs down to $9.99.

In case you're interested, Amazon has issued a new "Holiday Deals Calendar" -

I just bought Blu-Rays movies:
on Amazon- Patton for $9.99 + shipping & tax
on WarnerBrothers       The Searchers for 6.99 + Tax only
" WyattEarp(Costner)/Assassination of for 8.99        "
Jessie James-Brad Pitt/Casey Affleck
Warner Brothers has no shipping charge and many Blu-Rays on sale at $6.99 & 8.99 right now . There are a couple more of John Wayne here.
I believe this is a limited time offer- NO shipping and lower Prices.

Blu-ray Deal of the week is Casablanca (70th Anniversary Limited Collector's Edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo) For $29.99.

Not as good as the $25 price had for the same package last month, but still decent.

Again, this week, there are no blu-ray options for the tv and family deals of the week.

Movies and TV will again be a theme for Saturday's holiday deals. Expect a day full of Lightning deals, as the last Movies theme day was musical themed. I doubt you will get any in time for Christmas, unless there is an early deal you get on Saturday with next day shipping.
