Gotta have balance in life...

And ditto, BTW

In this thread, from the start, you attacked the Emmys, the Oscars, and all studios and retailers for acting like capitalists. If you don't like free market capitalism, then there are other countries with different systems you can try out. I am just defending the American way.

C. Barbus,

Sometimes you are a really cool dood and other times you are kind of a jerk.

We made a bet in the previous page and you lost, hence loser.

Where did I call you a little boy's conspiracy? That statement was made in the same vernacular as your quotes. So, again, if you consider "little boy's conspiracy"name calling, then your statements are easily name calling.

You also made the amazingly hypocritical statement of "Don't accuse other of a lack of maturity. I am sure you will get out of your mom's basement one of these days..."

Really mature there asking someone not to do something, then proceed to do that very thing in YOUR NEXT SENTENCE.

Hypocrite.

If those are not name calling, then I did not do any namecalling either. Nowhere did I call you a name.

Oskar2525 says:
I don't see any namecalling in either of those quotes? Do you understand the english language?

I am trembling. All I did was prove you wrong, and you don't have a leg to stand on, so intead of explaining your theory with real life data, you are complaining to the forum owners. I fail to see how you are disproving my "childish" opinion.

In reply to an earlier post on Jan 15, 2013 11:12:59 AM PST
Excuse me, but who is the first name caller in the thread.... let me remind you...

"The Oscars are also a joke and are only a marketing scheme."

And don't you forget that you also used "I am sure you will get out of your mom's basement one of these days"

If you don't like namecalling, then don't start a thread with name calling. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

"Sounds like sore loser syndrome to me."

Reported to the amazon mods.

Oskar2525 says:
You were namecalling, which is number one on the Amazon guidelines, no namecalling.

So your "mature" opinion involves namecalling? C. Barbus, you really have a lot of learn.

Why are you attacking my post? I stated my opinoin, just like you asked me to do. What Amazon guideline did I cross the line on? If you do not like others to offer their differing opinions on your posts, then why post?

Is there any way to voice an opinion different than yours without being accused of "attacking"?

I refuted your statement with facts, and since you have no defense you are falling back to the "You're not being nice to me" defense? You have never backed up your "opinions" in this thread with any facts at all, and have lost a bet in this thread.

Sounds like sore loser syndrome to me. Maybe you should consider that "growing up" advice yourself!

Oskar2525 says:
Again with the attacking. I am sorry but you have some serious growing up to do.
I have seen you attack others on this forum as well. Going forward I am going to report all of your attacking, immature, and down right insulting posts. Maybe you will get banned and it will be for the good of the blu ray forum, but even if you don't the moderators will be keeping an eye on you and hopefully deleting your inappropriate posts.

Lets try and keep it civil, I know that may be hard right now for you C. Barbus, but it is all a part of growing up.

My opinion is that your theories are childish and immature, though.

#1- As I said in my previous post, if you are right then the studios or retailers have every right to raise the price.

#2- You are wrong about the pricing methodology anyways. Look at the Amazon price history of the title on blu-ray.com linked to below. As we wagered before the price did return to $40 before Christmas. Several times, even. Now that the holiday season is over the price has settled into its usual $30-$35 range. Since it has won the golden globe, the highest price has not even been higher than the highest price LAST MONTH.

I do believe it is childish to make wild accusations based on nothing but imagination. If you do not want to be called out on being childish, then stop being childish.

C. Barbus,
Don't accuse other of a lack of maturity. I am sure you will get out of your mom's basement one of these days but to take out your rage on others just shows how much maturing you really need.
Please express your opinion without attacking others. Thank you.

This topic is actually about a little boy's conspiracy theory.

And even if you are a little bit right, what is wrong with that? If you created a barbecue sauce that ended up winning awards at the state fair, wouldn't you slap an "Award Winning" sticker on it and jack up the price? It's the American way, sir, and you are blasting it.

Oskar2525 says:
This topic is not about what I think is a good price for Homeland. It is about greedy people in the business jacking the price up because it won some awards.

J. Couture says:
This Blu Ray has been available for quite some time. During Christmas season this set was as low as $20. It is just a matter of buying when the price is what you can afford, not necessarily the price being deemed too high today. Amazon has this great feature called "The Wish List". You can place products in there without purchasing them until the price is "deemed" low enough by you. Happy shopping!

It's gotta be over $100 now. It won Golden Globes for Peteys Sakes!

Oskar2525 says:
Homeland wins a few Golden Globes, what can we expect the price to do now?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 19, 2012 1:26:52 PM PST
Oskar2525 says:
Ok, I will take that bet. I say it stays the same price at least through the end of the year.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 19, 2012 1:09:39 PM PST
Sounds like its wagering time. What are we betting that the price of Homeland goes back up next week?

Under your theory, the price should stay down regardless of Black Friday. If Amazon is matching prices of its competitors Black Friday prices, then the price will rebound to the regular pricing next week, not influenced at all by the Emmy Awards.

Game On.

I don't think so, it is not listed under those deals.

Right, this week's price has NOTHING to do with black friday week.
