Actually if you don't have some urgent need to get the new Who season immediately then Best Buy usually drops them to about $25 for a few weeks once the next season starts broadcasting.

Doctor Who: Season 8 [Blu-ray]

Forget Amazon.
This puppy is on sale at Best Buy for $49.99 this week, and Barnes & Noble is having one of those 50% off sale things (select British / BBC titles) where this is $44.99.
Preorders are already in place for the Christmas special that airs soon on BBC America (and is not included on the season / series 8 set).

Batman: The Complete Television Series (Limited Edition) [Blu-ray]

This is one of those "Wow!" moments - $154.99 at Amazon.
No idea how long that will last, but that's 20 bucks cheaper than any previous deal between Amazon and Best Buy.

Keep in mind that Warner is issuing replacement discs for missing materials they discovered, and at this point, no one has received one yet, so we don't know if it'll be smooth transactions, but you can get that info at Blu-ray dot com and tvshowsondvd dot com (and they have direct links to Warner, and if you've been there already, it seems as if you're just suppose to send them an e-mail or something).
Warner has not pulled these sets off the shelves to replace the discs. They're waiting to hear from you.
No one said the discs are defective, just missing material they didn't include (as the shows are fine, and will blow you away in picture quality).

Is it just me, or does it seem that the deals haven't been as good this year? I was also really bummed that they did a lightning deal walking dead season 4 on DVD but not Blu Ray.

Is Iron Man 3 never going to price drop because Disney bought Marvel? The first 2 movies were price dropped after 1st year. If yes Disney is pure evil and Star Wars movies will always be full price when they release on Blu-Ray

If you go to bluray dot com, you can sign up to get deals. I just pre ordered Battlestar Galactica: The Definitive Collection, it is $104 instead of $149, I also got Helix which is $14.99, Let's Be Cops which I think is $13.99 and yesterday I got A Million Ways to Die in the West, which was $11.00 and The Book Thief, which was #13.99. All great savings. Check the site out.

I ended up getting Iron Man 3 used from Familyvideo.com for about $6. Got tired of waiting for the price to drop here.

@dannyjk

I have been watching for a price break on this one since it was released on BD. I am not sure why it never had a sale because I picked up Iron Man 1 & 2 for $3.99 and $5.99 during previous Lightning Deals. Hopefully this Christmas season we will finally get a price drop on Iron Man 3.

Amazon is more frustrating than ever this year (when it comes to the deals calendar stuff).
Here's the "media" link that may help for the lightning deals:

Haha, L I've been busy, and involved at another hi-def/collectibles/Steelbooks site, but still always deal hunting:) All you need to do is click on the 'Black Friday' logo at the top of the Amazon page. The movie deal calendar is not up yet, I believe, but I am sure over the week it will be be. Enjoy your bargains & take care!

To be honest I read that I thought that Target winter soldier deal was fantastic. After all we are talking Disney here so the standard price was certain to be around $35 like all the other Marvel 3d combo packs right? Except it isn't. It's about the same everywhere. For some reason Disney is allowing deep discounts on this one. Hopefully they do the same for GotG.

Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery [Blu-ray]

For anyone waiting for a decent price drop, DVD Planet has it for $62.99 for an unknown period of time.

Amazon has it "under review" and pulled it again.
It looks as if someone didn't notice that the import PAL version somehow slipped into the US listings.
