Does anyone know when the first 3 Indy movies will be available on blu ray? Every movie in my collection has gone from DVD to BD and I just need these 3 to make my library 100% blu. I have no desire to own Kingdom of the Crystal Meth, so I'm wondering if a box set of the first 3 is also available or each one individually.

The boxed set of all four is to be released later this year. No date has been set yet, pre-orders are now available.

Indiana Jones Blu-ray Collection

Todd Trenda says:
"The Complete Indiana Jones Blu-ray Collection will be excavated in the fall of 2012 and will include all four of Indy's thrilling adventures, using the highest possible high definition picture and audio presentation - along with a "best of" collection of documentaries, interviews, featurettes and a few new surprises."

I know for a fact that the copy of "Raiders of the Lost Arc" was taken from a new 4K scan done that was supervised by Steven Spielberg. The film went through a complete restoration process and was color corrected. This exact copy was shown at a 30th anniversary event in Los Angeles that included a Q&A with both Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford. Spielberg did not change anything in the film (yeah George Lucas), but the film will have a darker look to it. The film looked amazing, like it was made just last year. This is going to be a Blu-Ray to own. Anyone want a used copy of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?

No date, no information. But we get read paragraphs of drivel from those who love to expand on nothing.
(You know who you are). Maybe you can start a thread on font choices on BD boxes.

Not sure who you are talking about Max Manus, but the information I got was from Steven Spielberg directly. He stated clearly the amount of restoration that went into the 4K scanned copy of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" that was shown in the theater that night. That "exact" copy shown was the one used to create the Blu-Ray you will be seeing. The Blu-Ray for "Raiders" is not just a simple transfer but a complete restoration of the film. The film has never looked better. These details have "Not" been announced by Paramount yet....so a little confused as your statement about no information.

On a side note, Spielberg also went over releasing E.T on Blu-Ray. He said he wanted to either only release the original film or a two disc edition with the original and the special edition that had changes. After a quick poll he announced that he would only release the "original" on Blu-Ray.

Todd,

Max has never made a positive comment about anything, he is best ignored. Also, an arc is a section of the circle. Don't know how anyone could lose a section of a circle, just draw a new one. Just saying because misspelling a movie you claim to have inside info on undermines your credibility. And, seriously, Max is not worth paying attention to. Actually, it is kind of laughable that he is saying someone else is not making a positive contribution. I think he was talking about himself.
