My Canon i960 prints faint horizontal lines in color and b/w. I've tried alll the cleaning and alignment recommendations. Anyone have any other ideas? Dennis

DMP says:
I am having a similar problem with my (5 year old) i860. It's probably a worn print head. Replacements are abour $50, plus shipping, tax. I'm thinking it probably makes sense to buy a new printer.

It's nice to know this question and answer thing really works. Canon's newest model (i4500?)replacing the i960 gets a pretty good review in Con. Reports, but the paper capacity is less and it uses more ink. Not quite as many features, but's less than $80 many places. I have that much in new Canon cartridges for my i960...which cannot be used in the new model.
