Julie Bowe says:
Hi, Cheryl,
You could try Hitler's Youth by Susan Campbell Bartoletti (176 pages) which includes photographs to break up the text, and is very "readable" especially for more reluctant readers.

Even though this book only weighs in at 80 pages, your son may find it an interesting read: Team Moon: How 400,000 People Landed Apollo 11 on the Moon by Catherine Thimmesh. Again, lots of photographs and very readable text.

I hope this helps. If I think of any other more traditional chapter books he might enjoy reading I'll post again.

Does it need to be non-fiction? Any other constraints?
