OSAS says:
We are living in the last days. Nations are attempting to divide the small Nation of Israel, God's land, and the UN wants to declare a Palestinian State within it's borders and divide God's City Jerusalem. This would give Israel indefensible borders and set her up for annihilation which is something God will never allow. The prophet's Joel and Zechariah prophesied these events thousands of years ago and warned of God's fierce judgment against all nations who take part in dividing the land, His City and those who come against His people. This includes the United States, whose government continually attempts to take steps to orchestrate Israel's division and ultimate destruction, instead of defending Israel's right to exist in it's God given land as a sovereign nation.

Jerusalem and its alternative Hebrew name Zion appear 850 times in the Old Testament and 142 Times in the New Testament for a total of 992 times in the Holy Bible. Neither the name Jerusalem nor any of the 16 various Arabic names for Jerusalem is mentioned in the Koran. In an expanded interpretation of the Koran from the 12th century, one passage is said to refer to Jerusalem.

Regarding the land that God has promised Israel, Genesis 15:18 declares, "To your descendants [Abraham's] I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates." God later confirms this promise to Abraham's son Isaac, and Isaac's son Jacob (whose name was later changed to Israel). When the Israelites were about to invade the Promised Land, God reiterated the land promise, as recorded in Joshua 1:4, "Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates - all the Hittite country - to the Great Sea on the west."

With these two passages in mind, the territory that God gave to Israel included everything from the Nile River in Egypt to Lebanon (North to South) and everything from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River (West to East). This includes all of the land modern Israel currently possesses, plus all of the land of the Palestinians (the West Bank and Gaza), plus parts of Egypt and Syria, all of Jordan, part of Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Israel currently possesses only a small percentage of the land God has promised.

In addition to the above passages, Ezekiel 47:13-48:35 recount's the Lord's measurements of the land given to the Israelites. He begins with "Thus says the Lord God: `These are the borders'" and finishes with a declaration that its capital (Jerusalem) shall be called "The Lord is There." (Ez 48:35)

Israel is the only nation on earth who has been allocated land by Almighty God with the title deed to their land recorded in the Holy Bible.

In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, "Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the Euphrates." Genesis 15:18

"And I will give unto thee and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God." Genesis 17:8

God said, "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee, and in thee shall all the families be blessed." Genesis 12:3

And again God said, "The land shall not be sold for ever, for the land is Mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with Me." Leviticus 25:23

"I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted My land." Joel 3:2

God said: "But I have chosen Jerusalem that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people." 2 Chronicles 6:11

"Thus says the Lord of hosts: "He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; [Israel] for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye." (Zech 2:8)

"The day of the Lord is near for all nations. As you have done, it will be done to you: your deeds will return upon you own head." (Obadiah 15)

"It shall be in that day [that] I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem." Zach 12:9

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Psalm 122:6

Cheri says:
We are living in exciting times with prophecy unfolding in front of our eyes. However time is getting short to tell those God brings into our lives about the saving grace of Jesus.

The bible tells us mens hearts will turn to fear during the last days. They will pray to die but will have to live no matter what happens in those days.

The good news is Hesus came to save all who reach out to Him. Just as we are, warts and all. He will do the changing.

No one wants anyone to suffer or die and go to hell. We want everyone to know the joy and peace only God gives through the Son.

Ask and God will show you the way.

For those who do not already know, this posse represents one of the more obnoxious Literalist cults which are helping to destroy real Christianity in the USA.

TDM c&ps her posts from a range of sources, all of which are designed to relieve widows and others of their mites.

She will rarely be honest enough to identify her sources, usually claiming they are entirely hers.

The easiest way to identify the bodgy ones is to check the spelling. If it is OK, the post is not hers.

Again for those who do not know, I am an atheist so far as what I call anthropomorphic deities are concerned.

TDM worships two of those, one of which she will insist rules our world.

She gives Iran every justification it needs to arm itself with nukes by proclaiming: Regarding the land that God has promised Israel, Genesis 15:18 declares, "To your descendants [Abraham's] I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates."

Allan: How typical.

Cheri interprets the Truth as hatred.

But then, that is Cheri, isn't it.

Lois says:
Not hate. Truth. Others may come. They need to know that this view is not always consistent with biblical views.

Oh, Lois, why come here if you disagree with the subject matter?

It is an open discussion. There are many perspectives about Israel, God's judgements, and the End Times.

Lois how can you say it is not Biblical I quoted the verses for goodness sake!

There is only one Biblical view and it is what all the born again believers post, quoting Scripture as evidence.

Cheri says:
Yes, but only one based on Scripture. I know it has nothing to do with salvation but many believers haven't grown in this area of their lives.

I hope those who come here to learn aren't run off by others. Many are interested in learning about what the bible has to say about the end times, which is really a new beginning.

T. D. Mills says: There is only one Biblical view and it is what all the born again believers post,

Allan: We have exposed that lie so often it has long become boring.

Want us to start all over again identifying your sources?

Allan says:
'' Many are interested in learning about what the bible has to say about the end times...''

Which is why we need to protect them from your minders.

The only real End Time will be in about five billion years time, when our sun finally burns itself out.

None of us will be here then.

it is nowhere near as close as you and some folks think

Exactly Cheri. This discussion is for born again believers who have studied and understand Biblical Prophecy or want to learn about Biblical prophecy. Biblical Prophecies are in the process of being fulfilled in current events unfolding in the Middle East and around the world. I believe that Israel and its surrounding nations are on the brink of the battle prophesied in Psalms 83 and Isaiah 17. There is so much instability in the nations surrounding Israel, that Israel has placed reserve troops on all their borders to protect themselves from terrorist attacks. Prophecy is not a subject that unbelievers would be interested in except to disparage believers.

You can always quote verses. Interpretation is clearly another matter. And even if you cherry pick the right verses (out of context).

We've already seen otherwise on the previous threads. Not 'born-again' believers believe the same thing or even the same set of events.

I agree. Israel is being set up and it looks like our nation won't back her if other countries come against her. Israel is still God's nation and there will come a time they will see Jesus as the Messiah. Right now, they are 'wandering in the desert', so to speak.

I'm wondering what will happen between now and the election.

You mean the interpretation of those you follow.

and it's only the beginning of a new cycle, time for the next Noah's Ark, all aboard please.

Cheri, your contempt for Jews and Judaism is disgusting.

B. Nixon says:
That actually was an expression of HOPE for the Jews. Your own predjudice against those you call the "posse" colored your comment. If you were able to see more clearly, you could see her concern for the Jewish people.
Judaism? Nothing was said about that.

BN: I read your post from last night, and couldn't reply to it because Amazon locked it.
My answer is yes, I do understand your analogy. I am thankful that it isn't up to us to interpret, but that God Himself makes it clear to those who belong to Him. And we each need to know the difference between the TRUTH and what is FALSE. Fortunately He lets us know.

John 6:45 "It is written in the Prophets: 'They will all be taught by God.' Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me."

John 14:17 "the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you."

B. Nixon says: That actually was an expression of HOPE for the Jews.

Allan: How comforting for the Jews that Cheri should condescendingly assure them that ''Israel is still God's nation ...''

Speaking for God, is she?

"Right now, they are 'wandering in the desert', so to speak."

Are they now?

Who told Cheri this? It certainly was not the God of the Jews.

''Judaism? Nothing was said about that.''

No?

What about: ''there will come a time they will see Jesus as the Messiah''?

Now Cheri is lecturing them about THEIR messiah, promised them by THEIR God, as told to them by Him through His Word in THEIR Tanakh.

The concept IS Judaism. It is THEIR Messiah Cheri is talking about.

No, B. Nixon. Your posse is wallowing in a trough of pig ignorance and arrogance.

'' If you were able to see more clearly, you could see her concern for the Jewish people. ''

None of you, Cheri, TDM, or yourself, have the slightest concern for the Jews. All you are concerned about is your own selfish, arrogant, bigoted selves.

Think of that every time you boast that your select few will be wafted off on a magic carpet in a rapture of delight as you gleefully watch from your security blanket while seven billion mostly innocent men, women, and children suffer endless torture and torment for your fiendishly sick pleasure.
