Everyone has an appointment with death...Heaven or hell will be your home. Do you know where your going? The Bible is clear on how you can know for sure.

S. Friedman says:
I'm going to a hospital to have my organs harvested or to a medical school for them to poke and prod as they wish; either way for the purpose of helping those who will live after I've died.

Thanks for asking.

eddie

bible is not that clear
you cant find anywhere where it says you go to heaven

see washpost today --
article saying that heaven was an invention of the misguided whore of babylon along with other stuff they made up

there is no heaven per the bible
the bible clearly says the kingdom of God will come here
you do not go there

you need to actually read the bible and stop parroting other peoples noise

Irish Lace says:
I do not believe in the existence of heaven or hell, an afterlife or anything the Bible has to say. Ditto for Nirvana, reincarnation or anything written in Dianetics, The Book of Mormon, the Epic of Gilgamesh, the Q'uran or any of the Oz books.

When I die, I will be dead. Harvest my organs and donate my body to a medical school. When they are done with it, bury it without a coffin. Don't waste natural resources enclosing it in anything but dirt.

Assuming the Bible is true and you're interpreting it correctly - and those are big assumptions.

James Joyce says:
But which heaven? I fancy mid-heaven (second heaven). Lots of birds and angels flying around there according to Revelation, so there might actually be something to do to pass the infinite time (ornithology, hunting). And it's less high and bright compared to the third heaven.

Haven't a clue how to get there though. Or how to get anywhere, if I'm dead. You do understand that being dead involves no longer being alive?

james joyce

you do realise that you will be resurrected with a new body
where you go next depends on what you did here

James Joyce says:
resurrected?! good grief! So dead isn't really dead after all!!

What sort of body will it be? And how long does it stay 'new'?

My kids have instructions to leave me out in a forest somewhere so wild animals can dine on my corpse. I honestly can't think of a better fate.

What do new heavenly bodies smell like? Do they retain that smell?

eddie, Indeed, Heaven, IF we repent, IF we forgive others, IF we keep His commandments, and IF we love all people! (Luke 13:5, Matthew 6:14, Hebrews 10:26, Matthew 19:17, Ephesians 5;5,6, 1 Corinthians 13;2). Peace always in the Most Precious Blood of Jesus our Great God and Saviour

If you think the Bible is clear on this, why didn't you cite the relevant verses, instead of just asking a troll question?

James Joyce says:
whomper: read the bible

JJ: ..you're basing this fantasy on a book you've read?!!

I've read lots of books (and the holy wiki) that all say what each person knows in his heart, and what we observe of everyone who dies. You know. And they're based on evidence, not fear or egotism.

The bible is not clear, and generally a bad source for information, on how the world works. Also there is no immortal soul concept in the OT.

"The bible is not clear."

Agreed. Christian concepts of the afterlife are cobbled together from a verse here, a line there, all open to multiple interpretations. Nowhere does Jesus lay it all out clearly and distinctly. Hence all the arguments.

Unless you take the book of Revelation literally, in which case the Jehovah's Witnesses appear to be correct.

(I do not take the book of Revelation literally. Or much at all, really.)

Depends on which religious book you take seriously Qran,KJV,Book Of Mormon,Jehovah Watch-Tower or Torah so which book is clear??? Or rather which book is considered valid??? Seeing as how I'm not part of any of the religons associated with these text I'm exempt from anything it says.

James Joyce,
It appears that our resurrected bodies will be like Jesus resurrected body. He was able to appear and disappear instantly. Also it is incorruptible and immortal.

Bubba,
Which smell is that? Decay? No they do not retain that smell. It has bones and flesh and can be touched and can eat.

Sophie Amrain,
The Bible is the only true source of of information. And no immortal soul in the NT either. We do have a spirit which returns to God when we die.
