Does the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ prove that the doctrine of the Trinity is false?

The doctrine of the Trinity teaches that God is a spirit, and that this spirit God is made up of three persons; The Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost.

How can God be 100% spirit when Jesus Christ has a 100% physical resurrect body of flesh and bones and is a third part of this 100% spirit God as the Trinity teaches? This "Trinity Contradiction" seems to be a major "blind spot" in the Trinity doctrine, and causes us to reason that the Trinity doctrine is lacking in truth and contains flaws.

The power of the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ forces us to look for another, higher, more correct, more true concept of God. What can we learn from the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ about the true God???

Harold, that God the Eternal Father, Son and Holy Spirit, "Let US make man in OUR image", (Genesis 1:26, Luke 9:35), created the universe, and that God the Eternal Son assumed our humanity, (John 1:1, John 1;14), and atoned for the eternal punishment due our sins. Peace always in the Most Precious Blood of Christ

Many things show the trinity doctrine is false. Besides history itself, there are the scriptural statements such as John 17:1,3; 1 Cor. 8:6; Eph. 4:6.

For an essential knowledge of God (as the trinity would be, if true), we should expect a clear complete statement of it many times repeated (just as we have clear, complete statements that Jesus is the Christ/Messiah many times repeated). This never happens anywhere in scripture.

In fact even the simple concept of the number three is never found in any description of God.

Nor do any of the descriptions of God (dreams, visions, etc.) in all of scripture show Him to be anything but a single person. Acts 7:55, 56 is only one example.

IFeelFree says:
We must love truth more than we love our cherished beliefs. The alternative is to live in illusion, which leads to suffering and confusion. Every believer, sooner or later, is going to be frustrated because belief is not going to give him the truth. It is not going to give him the living waters of life.

G. J. Stein says:
Ted Trueblood:

Acts 7:56 "...Look! I [Stephen] see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!"

Since God is a spirit, and Jesus a man, how did Stephen determine the left or right hand of God
when he saw Jesus standing there in heaven?

"Since God is a spirit, and Jesus a man, how did Stephen determine the left or right hand of God when he saw Jesus standing there in heaven?"

No man can see God and live. It was obviously a vision provided for Stephen.

athiriot,

You commented: "only lies from the pope smooshed them into one concept"

The concept actually preceded both the Roman Catholic Church and the pope:

"the first of the early church fathers recorded as actually using the word Trinity was Theophilus of Antioch writing in the late 2nd century. He defines the Trinity as God, His Word (Logos) and His Wisdom (Sophia)[74] in the context of a discussion of the first three days of creation. The first defence of the doctrine of the Trinity was in the early 3rd century by the early church father Tertullian. He explicitly defined the Trinity as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and defended the Trinitarian theology against the "Praxean" heresy.[75]"

Ted Trueblood says: "No man can see God and live. It was obviously

Stephen did indeed die just after saying this.

So, based on these next verses please answer your own question about the
validity of the Trinity:

Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit
of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is
not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the
Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised
Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also
give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

The Spirit in us is the Spirit of God. vr. 9
The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Christ. vr. 9
The Spirit in us is the Spirit of Christ vr. 10
The Spirit is both God and Christ vr. 9,10,11
The Spirit is God and God is Christ and Christ is life. vr, 11

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made
through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was
life, and the life was the light of men.

Jesus is God. vr. 1
God lives in us via Christ who is the Spirit, who gives us life. vr. 4

Hmmm.....which do I believe, athiriot born in the 20th century, or early church fathers within reach of the Apostles, the formative years of the church, and the original inspired writings....tough choice!

John 1:18 - "No man hath seen God at any time." Stephen died because he was stoned to death by the Jews. No vision, dream, etc. of God shows him as anything but one person.

1 John 5:7 - http://examiningthetrinity.blogspot.com/2009/08/1-john-57-kjv.html

The number three is never used in connection with God IN TRUE SCRIPTURE.

Is. 9:6 - http://examiningthetrinity.blogspot.com/2009/10/isa-96-mighty-god-eternal-father.html

As for the Early Church Fathers, see:

Comment Man says:
Alrighty then if the Holy Spirit, Jesus and the Creator God are three seperate entities, which one is the big patookie? How do you determine which one you worship? Or are you a worshipper of all three? And if you worship all three shouldn't you worship four (Elohim and Jehovah?) And while you are busily making up your religious beliefs for yourself, why are you even bothering with such messiness as Christian beliefs? There are plenty of other religious beliefs in the world. If my memory serves me well, you are allowed to join the American Indian church and ingest peyote. That has to be more fun than posting heretical and silly Christian dogma on an Amazon thread!

DoC BiC says:
GJ,
The flaw is in the inability to appreciate that the "Spirit of Christ" that dwells in Believers is the Holy Spirit. One Spirit, One God.
A second flaw often seen is in attempting to study God and His attributes from man's perspective of time, versus God's eternal present time.
A third flaw is failure to understand that what flows from God is God and His attributes:

Genesis 1:2-3 (AMP)
The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters. And God "said", Let there be light; and there was light.

Ted,
Re: "1 John 5:7 - http://examiningthetrinity.blogspot.com/2009/08/1-john-57-kjv.html

To quote from the site: "When the neuter "one" (hen) is applied to persons, it means "one thing." In other words they have become united in some thing such as "purpose," "will," etc."

Here the "etc" is a priori "Spirit"; from unity of Spirit goes forth the exercise of "purpose" and "will".
