Celsus says:
"A curse on him who is lax in doing the Lord's work! A curse on him who keeps his sword from bloodshed!" Jer 48:10

"I will strew your flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with your carcass. I will drench the land even to the mountains with your flowing blood..." Ez 32/ 5,6

"And I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and of their daughters, and everyone will eat the flesh of his neighbor in the distress with which their enemies and those who seek their life will afflict them." Jer 19 / 9

"Therefore fathers shall eat their sons in the midst of you and sons shall eat their fathers...I will send famine and wild beasts against you and they shall rob you of your children; pestilence and blood shall pass through you; and I will bring a sword upon you." Ez 5/ 10,17

"Behold, I will corrupt your seed and spread dung upon your faces..." Mal 2/ 3

"Pass through the city after him, and smite; your eye shall not spare and you shall show no pity; slay old men outright, young men and maidens, little children and women..." Ez 9 / 5,6

"I gave them statutes that were not good and ordinances by which they could not have life; and I defiled them through their very gifts by making them offer by fire all their first born, that I might horrify them; that they might know that I am the Lord." Ezekiel 20: 25-26

"...I will raise up evil against you out of your own house; I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the light of this sun." 2 Sam 12/ 11

"Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him. But all the young girls who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." Num 31/ 17,18)

"Samar'ia shall bear her guilt, because she has rebelled against her God; they shall fall by the sword, their little ones shall be dashed in pieces, and their pregnant women ripped open." Hos 13/ 16

God, speaking of His people, Israel: "I will fall upon them like a bear robbed of her cubs; I will tear open their breast, and there I will devour them like a lion, as a wild beast would rend them." Hos 13:8

"Everyone that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be destroyed and their wives ravished." Isaiah 13:15-16

"Thus saith the Lord . . . Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. . . . And Saul smote the Amalekites . . . and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword." I Samuel 15:2,3,7,8

Deut 21:18 "If any man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey his father or mother, then his father and mother shall seize him and bring him out to the elders of the city...then all the men of the city shall stone him to death." [ Jesus similarly endorsed this passage in Mark 7:10-13 and Matthew 15:4-6 ]

Deut 13:6-10 "If anyone secretly entices you--even if it is your brother, your father's son or your mother's son, or your own son or daughter, or the wife you embrace, or your most intimate friend-- saying, "Let us go worship other gods" you must not yield to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him, nor shall you conceal him; but you shall kill him; your hand shall be the first against him to put him to death, and then the hand of all the people. Stone them to death for trying to turn you away from the Lord your God."

"When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. But if the slave survives a day or two, he is not to be punished; for the slave is his property". Ex. 21:20-21

"As for your male and female slaves whom you may have: you may buy male and female slaves from among the nations that are round about you. You may also buy from among the strangers who sojourn with you and their families that are with you, who have been born in your land; and they may be your property". Lev 25: 44-45

You said this is a place for "favorite" bible verses

For the love of peter huh?

I believe the blasphemous statement "for pete's sake" comes the heronious view of thinking that Christ built His church on peter

Mt 16:18 is a Bible verse whether you like it or not...

This thread is NOT about you OR your opinion.

Roll Tide!!! says:
Ps 36:5-6
God's love is meteoric,
his loyalty astronomic,
6 His purpose titanic,
his verdicts oceanic.
Yet in his largeness
nothing gets lost;
Not a man, not a mouse,
slips through the cracks.

Psalm 36:5-6 from The Message

It is a bible verse, that exalts the power of Christ and His divinity in that only on Himself would He build his people upon
