Bryan Borich says: The Us was God and Sophia.

Allan: On this thread, better you should have said God and Wisdom (his FIRST creation), though I share where you are coming from.

true

but so many people here claim that their screwed up version is in the bible when it is really only in their heads

and they refuse to look at the bible passages that say that their made up version is not what the bible says

In reply to an earlier post on Oct 13, 2012 8:05:42 AM PDT
genesis is an allegory

not literal

your belief to the contrary is not valid

In reply to an earlier post on Oct 13, 2012 8:06:09 AM PDT
i have no opinion

i go by the bible

you and exp make up stuff and claim it is in the bible

In reply to an earlier post on Oct 13, 2012 8:07:19 AM PDT
the bible does not say that anywhere except in one cherry picked verse that was badly translated and then misinterpreted

the bible says there is ONE GOD
and it clearly proves that Son of God=Jesus is not God=Father
but they are two separate entities

In reply to an earlier post on Oct 13, 2012 8:08:15 AM PDT
nonsense

the rcc/wob stole that from the pagans

the bible has three separate and distinct entities
they cannot be smoooshed into one except by the rcc believers

so if you are a popebot then it makes sense why you are confused

In reply to an earlier post on Oct 13, 2012 8:09:34 AM PDT
the one in the NT practiced by the Christians in the time of christ and shortly thereafter before the pharisees and rcc/wob folks mixed in pagan practices and secular government practices so they could gain power and wealth

he also wrote that there is ONE God

the bible clearly proves that Jesus=Son is not Father=God

so not ure what this so called godhead thing is except a bad translation

the godhood (changed to godhead by many) is not God
it may be the name for the three SEPARATE AND DISTINCT ENTITIES TAKEN AS A GROUP

call the three the Godsquad and I would take that as true being a collective descriptor for three separate and distinct entities.

eg the manchester united are 17 football players but they comprise ONE TEAM but you cannot say the 17 players are all identically and exactly the same PERSON.

this could be semantics but i think that in fact you and exp are very confused by your arrogance in thinking you know what the bible says when you only parrot what some tv guy told you once

B. Nixon says:
Omnipresent, Omnicient, Omnipotent.

Focus on Someone Who is...everywhere...impossible!!!

Argue with Someone Who has ALL knowledge.

Vie with Someone Who is all power. Empty exercise.

John 1
(CJB)

1 "In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.

2 He was with God in the beginning.

3 All things came to be through him,
and without him nothing made had being.

4 In him was life,
and the life was the light of mankind.

5 The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not suppressed it."

No matter how one is argued against, or disparaged...God remains the same, and is the rewarder of those who believe IN, and seek Him.

And it is the same Spirit of God Who leads those who come to Him, into all...truth.

Adam walked with God in the Garden of God. Another place no longer accessible as a physical place, but the Present Everywhere God...walked with Adam, and talked to him.

Please don't bother telling me that it is all allegory, because that would come from the fallen nature, not the thinking of one walking in that LIGHT...aforementioned.

whatever

you have your ideas that you think are true

i ahve what the bible actually means

B. Nixon says:
The truth is the reverse of what you wrote.
The Holy Spirit is the One Who lets us know...what He means.

If it were the Bible itself, there wouldn't be so many offshoot religions claiming their beliefs come from the same source. They don't.

Tinker says:
Those born in the millennium will also have to make a choice for Jesus or against Him. Everyone has to choose, the angels to revel or to stay with God, humans to believe in God and the Messiah He sent to earth to cleanse us from our sins.

OSAS says:
The 1611 King James version. King James I, selected 54 Christian men with fervor for the Word of God; all world renowned Bible scholars and linguist of the day; all with a firm knowledge of the Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic languages; to translate the Bible. They translated from the best Greek and Hebrew manuscripts available at the time. As they worked they all abided by 15 regulations for translation, all of which were laid out to make certain that the complete Scripture was an absolutely literal translation faithful to the original meaning and wording of the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts into English.

I completely disagree with anything Ehrman has to say. I do believe that the bible is the inerrent Word of God, so really you and I have no common truth to base anymore dissucssion on. You are not going to change my belief, since it comes from the Holy Spirit of God Himself.
