M. Simonson. The blood of Jesus cleanses us of our sins and water does not. Salvation is in Jesus and who he is and he is the only way to the Father and faith in him alone is the way to God. Being born again in Jesus is what saves. If you have no blood and God sees no blood then you will be excluded. Just as the egyptians had the blood on the post. Is the same as there being no blood on us and we will be destroyed without the blood because there is NO remission of sins without it.

A customer says:
catholics say this is the beginning and then the beginning and the beginning until the end??? That never happens with a catholic. Protestants say that we do not have to become circus performers and jump thru hoops to get to heaven. Jesus died once and not over and over again and we never have to work, for what he did. We only work after we are born again and we do it because we know that Jesus saved us and we have a changed heart and not changed actions

Kevin Bold says:
You're right; it's SOME Protestants who say "that's all."

A customer says:
Now, I know you were such a scholar in protestanism and that is why you never left it but I really would abstain from quoting stuff that is totally false about them because they can prove you wrong since you are now such a scholar in catholicism.

The penitent thief's name and the date aren't in the Bible, but the rest is.

Luke 23:39-43 One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, "Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!" But the other rebuked him, saying, "Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong." And he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." And he said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise."

A customer says:
You really want to go with what you quoted to me and I said where is that in the Bible. This does NOT say what you said Kevin. Quit quoting stuff the Catholic Church has said the Bible says as it is NOT in there. Honestly! I am amazed at how you swat at a gnat and swallow a camel.

M. Simonson says:
"St. Dismas performed the "good work" of admonishing the unrepentant thief when the unrepentant thief mocked the Lord"

Nobody knows the name of the repentant thief, there are about 5 put on there by different traditions. The only thing that St Dimas (San Dimas) did was to give Bill and Ted an excellent place to start Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure

The term "saint" in the NT is used for the saints/saved/elect, a group known only to God; but it means those of the faith. Running around praying to saints and thinking that dead people have a special heavenly job protecting travelers or animals or that any of the dead care about places like Portugal, Greece, Italy, Ireland and Spain is just a false teaching that comes from bloody awful paganism.

The account from Luke says what I said it says.

You won't understand it because you don't really know what the Catholic Church teaches.

Glenn, I wasn't sure you realised it but yes we are in agreement

yes, I know what it teaches. I am amazed when I find out that catholics do not know what it teaches.

glenn, Well, since faith alone is refuted by the Holy Spirit as justification before God, (James 2:24, Revelation 2:23), after death the good thief FIRST had to stand before the judgement seat of God and receive recompense for both the good AND the BAD that he has done in the body, (2 Corinthians 5;10) in which one is CHASTENED when judged by the Lord as to NOT be condemned, (1 Corinthians 11:32, James 2;13, 1 Corinthians 3;15), in which one's spirit is made perfect by Divine cleansing, (Hebrews 12:23,24) as we must all STRIVE for that holiness without which no one can see the Lord. (Hebrews 12;14). Indeed, though since faith alone is refuted by the Holy Spirit, the thief repented of his sins, (Luke 13:5) and did a good work by defending the innocent. (John 5:29). Peace always in the Most Precious Blood of Jesus our Great God and Saviour

M, actually, Jesus refutes faith alone as well, (Luke 13:5, Matthew 6:14) as He states, "If you wish to enter into Life, then Keep the commandments", (Matthew 19:17) and thus Paul refutes faith alone as justification too, (Ephesians 5;5,6, Romans 2:8,9, Galatians 5;19,20,21, Hebrews 10:26), as Paul warns those who have faith in Jesus, that even if they have ALL FAITH, but do not love others, it is useless, and James agrees. (1 Corinthians 13;2, James 2:24). Peace always in the Most Precious Blood of Jesus our Great God and Saviour

Sure fooled me as you believe cathlicks are in the bible and they are NOT still have those cathlick glasses on

In reply to an earlier post on Sep 20, 2012 7:46:48 AM PDT
A customer says:
Well, at least I do not see something that is not there like the cathlicks do. They even say the scriptures are clear that Mary is the mother of the RCC and nothing there is even remotely like that. Now they also have JOhn as her son. It goes on and on and on. Makes up as you go and if they need to look a little cleaner than they were in the reformation, they just make up more stuff.

Would you please explain what you mean by JUSTIFICATION..
Preferably the Biblical
and also the Christian explanation as they do not necessarily agree.

Thanks ALF

An example for you the word SAVED Biblically means Rescued and refferrs to being Rescued from Satan
Yet most Christians have been falsely taught that SAVED means WE go to Heaven..
please do not debate the example, it was an example of Christian theology not being Biblically sound
Thanks Alf
