How does one "waste their lives" when Christians spearheaded the abolitionist movements, provide orphanages, buy Sudanese slaves out of slavery, rescue young girls from a life of forced prostitution, run hospitals in third world countries, provide free medical care, dig wells that provide clean water for over a million people, feed the hungry, are often first responders after natural disasters, have outlawed human sacrifice, cannibalism, incest, pedo, bestiality, child labor, etc.?

That is untrue. The bible says if one cannot control ones self mine as well get married. Your post is an afterthought.

Except that the founding fathers were religious and the Dec of Ind clearly states that our rights are given to us by our "Creator" who is "the Supreme Judge of the World."

If you don't like our country that was built on Christian principles, perhaps you'd enjoy living in China or N. Kora, or Cambodia...or the Muslim Middle East.

The countries you have listed have a god. What is your point? Your god is better?

I'm not ignorant of it. You are ignorant in assuming I didn't know this. I have no problem with that.

Our founders were of a vast variety of religions. And non-religions.

You are stating an afterthought of a thought.

For the record though, I graduated from William and Mary in Virginia beach, VA. You know not of what you speak

Atheism isn't a philosophy. Nor is it capable of being a system of government. Including communism. Religion is your right to express, just like atheism has the right to be expressed. This is a secular country. The 1st amendment was #1 for a reason. Ponder that

I understood your point, my point is...not all atheists think this way just because members of a communist political system do. And for every Christian who brings up atheist atrocities, there are atheists who bring up Christian atrocities. This is one reason society is either stalled or progresses too slowly IMO.
