A Customer says:
"FR: Then I would say to you that you are neither a true Christian or a good citizen"

<sigh> another of those intolerant ones who like to tell themselves how "tolerant" they are of others. Irony.

Faithradha says:
Sophie says: Because Obama did not have the votes for that. It was difficult enought to get the present version passed. And he did make denial of care much more difficult for the insurance companies.

FR: Exactly. The only way my son got Insurance was because Obama made sure they could not deny him. They tried to reject him by way of Pre-existing conditon.. it is NOW against the law.. THANKS to Obama.

I don't think I am the only one getting tired of the ongoing fear tactics, lies, and manipulation of the Big Business, corporate worshiping, Republican party ... who depends on a gullible population.

BTW.. just for the record here .. I am not a Democrat, I am an Independant. I used to be a Republican... until they got hijacked from the Conservative right wing fundamentalists and ran us into the largest debt we have ever seen. Because I am fiscally conservative and Love this country, I could not in good consious vote Republican.... the party driven by religious fear and corporate greed that got us into this mess.

Now.. let me tell you how I really feel LOL :P

Faithradha says:
R.O. : WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR IT?

FR:.. Why? Because THAT is how this country works. It is not about what YOU want.. it's about what the majority votes.
I did not want Bush's fear driven stupid war... it pretty much bankrupted us, on many levels.... but I still fork out thousands and thousands in tax dollars to feed Republican dept... because I LOST the vote.
I pay my taxes because I am first and foremost a responsible citizen who honors the basic premise of this country.
Soooo THAT is why you need to pay for it. It's how America works... unless you are anti American. Perhaps you would prefer some other more "fun" place? ... where Religions dominate Government?

Birth control is legal... it was voted on, you cannot deny others their rights. If you don't believe in Birth Control.. then fine, don't TAKE it. It's as simple as that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BTW.. what gives a bunch of misogynist men.. under the guise of religion, the right to make me suffer?
Case in point: I had a miscarriage once, in mid pregnancy, the baby was not viable... and yet I was forced to suffer a prolonged, life threatening labor.. needlessly ... WHY???? Because the Doctor had to jump through legal hoops trying to procure the medication needed to move my labor along ... because someone had decided that it COULD have been used to induce an abortion.
~
My rights to access a life saving medicine was compromised... by a freeking bunch of pathetic old men, sitting in their "ivory halls", who have no respect for women but only want control over their bodies.
No one should have the right to come between any woman and their doctor and threaten one's life in the process. May they come back as a camel... nay nay... a female.. in the middle east to see what that feels like.
How's that for a mini-rant? Want to know how I really feel?
ScoopingCatLitter says: Georgedc,
Ron Paul is a better Christian, as his voting record shows.
jpl: Has the xtian god imbued all his sheep with precognition, that they should know what's on the mind of someone at any given moment?
i don't know what the hubbub about ron paul is. yes he is a interesting old kook and entertaining. he blurts out book definitions with no real world functions. just look at his own record and creating and presenting laws into the congress. he is good at bringing up topics but he certainly isn't ready to run a country. not to mention, that demon spawn of his rand running havoc in kentucky.
Faithradha says:
Perhaps I misunderstand you Kevin.... what do you mean by "our Popes" ?
A plethora of popes misused their position.. It was hard to choose just one from those listed under ... Popes Being Bad.
Leo X (Pope from 1513 - 1521)
Louis XIV had nothing on this man. Extravagant to the max, his lavish spending managed to bankrupt the papacy in just two short years. Once he realized that he was broke, he spent the rest of his time at St. Peter's pawning off palace furnishings and licensing more brothel's to keep the party going. Fat, sweaty, and effeminate, on the plus side he was known to be very kind, jolly, and a big supporter of charities and the arts. Even so, it was Leo's lifestyle that encouraged an obscure man named Marin Luther to write 95 Thesis and nail them up on a church door in Wittenburg. Oops, glad you had fun, Leo. Sorry about the whole "starting of the reformation" thing
Back to that again I see.
I don't see the point in insulting millions of Mormons as non Christians. I am not Mormon- I am Catholic. It's just bigotry pure and simple and most have no time for sucxh nonsense.
In reply to an earlier post on May 9, 2012 7:05:11 AM PDT
That is your view of him. Anyone who says "no" to anything gay related is labeled a "gay hater" by you. Wake up and smell the TRUTH, Bubba. God's views about homosexuality and those who engage in it are made quite clear in both the Old AND New Testaments.
B. Josephson says:
Jefferson was not a Christian, he was a Deist.
Wouldn't it be sad if people had had the same attitude as you?
I will not go back to the dark ages of religious test oaths.
I will not let religious fundamentalists tell me who is or who is not Christian.
I stand against such intolerance. I stand against such foolisheness.
And I stand against any politicans who tells me that I should only vote for a "true" Christian.
I think that is the way to a dark ages of religious intolerance in our great nation.
Best Wishes,
Shaaamba Kaambwaat
B. Josephson says:
Two no votes but no response, stand up and say why you want religious intolerance?
Say who you will go after after you have gone after the LDS for not being "true" Christians, not being fit for office.
Obviously you don't want Muslims or Jews, but it seems a lot of fundamentalists don't think RCs are "true" Christians either.
Why don't you make clear who you don't want people to vote for besides LDS Geordic.
Why don't you say you don't like Muslims, you don't like Jews, and name all those others you don't like.
Make clear who you would exclude from office if you had power.
It's all a fake!
Roman Gods are no more real than a Jewish God!
All religions were written by men for men.
Now live your life to the fullest by breaking the bonds of religion!
