Bought this for the former then realized we covered the latter in the early '80s.

The latest Guitar Player magazine has a nice ad from Fender celebrating the 60th anniversary of The Stratocaster.
Scads of tunes from Dick Dale's Misirlou to YJM's Black Star and beyond surrounding a 'period correct' Two Tone SB Strat.
One of the few artists to get a side by side 'two fer' was Buddy Holly...

Side A: That'll Be The Day - Buddy Holly
Side B: Peggy Sue - Buddy Holly

I guess Johnny Watson and Ike Turner recorded some keepers with this axe around the same time or maybe earlier.

It Don't Matter To Me.

Buddy Holly was the first 'King' of the Stratocaster.
