RE: Phil Keaggy...*THE* most underated guitarist on the planet!

Rightly said, Sir! At least, inderated by the general music-listening public; professional, "big name" musicians know better. BTW, it is also one of my all-time favorite songs, in general, and Phil Keaggy songs, specifically...I shoukd have added a link because the album cut of the song from, "Town To Town" is far superior to other, later versions.

Porcelain Dish,

re: only going to be one more new track...

...and out of the ashes of tour preps, new recordings, writing and such other nonsense! I've got all the greatest hits or compilations of the Stones that I need. All I really want is one more tour!

Re: All I really want is one more tour!

They have been hinting at doing another tour, to celebrate their 50 years as a band. Keith Richards recently mentioned that a few things have been set up, but didn't elaborate.

"Just after Keith gave us the best hint towards upcoming shows, gigs and something one culd call a 'tour', now texan fellow Bobby Keys himself gives us the next bit! He says that gigs will take place in November, two in England (that would be London, I think) and some more (!) in the US:

"We gonna do some more concerts, starting in November with two in England and then a couple here in the States, then there's a few added concerts after that. Keith told me a couple months ago there was something in the wind and just be ready to go. I'm waiting for them to send me the plane ticket and the information, and then I'll go."

Then he also shares some more deeper thoughts about what we all know will happen:

"The reality is this train is going to pull into the last station pretty soon -- I don't know how soon. I've been saying this since 1980," he notes with a laugh. "But I feel like it's kind of winding down. This may be sort of the 'Sayonara, see you later, had a good time, keep in touch.' I don't know that for sure. I haven't officially been told anything...I just take my cue primarily from what Keith says, so we'll have to see."

I expect there's going to be one more Stones tour and one more Stones album. IF and it's a big if, Jagger and Richards can co-exist long enough to hammer out an album's worth of material. Pretty much all the sources say that they just don't get along very well anymore and at this stage of the game, time is NOT on their side.

There's also a rumor that "Tempest" is Dylan's last album. Wouldn't surprise me. But he may tour until they bury him.

KISS, were really hot on the Dave Letterman Show last night.. It was exciting and I was pumped up when they were announced at the very end of the show, they came out smokin' and the playing by every player including Gene on bass, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer on guitars & Eric Singer on drums, all of them sharp very impressive!

youtube didn't have the end song but here's the first one, very good also

The album cut of Everything Else is the only one I've heard! I have to assume later versions cut some of the length. That would indeed be a shame. And, yes. I meant underated by the general public.

My gut feeling is that BK is right and this will probably be the last one. Of course, these guys have been proving everybody wrong for at least 25 years!
