I've been all over the place lately.

Right now, it's Orianthi "Heaven in this Hell" via Amazon Prime Music. The current song is kind of commercial, but the album started off rocking pretty hard. Amazon Prime Music is a pretty cool way to check out new stuff.

Earlier today, I was listening to Rainbow "Rising" deluxe edition, Rick Wakeman's "Return to the Center of the Earth" and a few songs from Queen + Paul Rodgers.

Earlier this week (or I guess it was last week now), I was listening a lot to Paul McCartney because I saw him live on Wednesday and earlier I was listing to a lot of Jethro Tull (which I do often) and Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon", "Wish You Were Here" and "Animals" in their entirety, which is the only way to listen to those albums.

As I said, I was kind of all over the place this week.

stevign,

Thanks for the laugh. I'm a lady bug who isn't looking to get, as you say, "laid." It's all about the music and honoring female artists.

The song "La Comparsa" from her superb album, Noir. The song is built on an infectious melody that floors me every time. Too bad the sample on Amazon is waaaaay to short for one to really appreciate the song's complete construction. I should also add that the sound quality of the album is excellent.

Good choice. I good follow-up would be Sugar (CTI Records 40th Anniversary Edition) Original recording remastered Edition by Stanley Turrentine which includes both the studio version of "Sugar" as well as the Live version. Freddie is in fine form of course.

Have been a hot tuna fan since 1972. The vinyl replica CDs sound excellent. I have all but two of them. In December they are releasing Edgar winters roadwork, shock treatment, they only come out at night and white trash. Can't wait!

Morrison,

I love Irish Tour '74. If you like Live! in Europe, then I highly recommend this one. I wouldn't put it on the same level, but it is just a small notch below.
