Phil is an amazing musician,,the best drummer ever, talented vocalist and songwriter and all around good guy,,now i admit,i hated to see him do so much pop and his later solos stink but as far as calling him a wanker,,thats just wrong.Im sure he has way more talent and is probabally a better human being than all those out there hating on him (and most of those are totally ignorant of his talents and his contribution to music)..Yeah i wish he'd stayed more to prog and jazz fusion but i still like him and have seen him live 12 dont be so dang mean and hateful to the man..Love ya Phil!

Actually, Phil has some sort of problem with the vertebrae in his neck, and it isn't clear if he'll ever play drums again.

Wow, such a lame start to a thread sure got a lot of responses. Guess Phil isn't such a wanker after all. But what do I know? I just think he's a great drummer, has a good voice, has a talent for producing and songwriting, that's all. By the way, McCall, haven't heard from you to defend yourself since any of these responses.

I second Russell's comment.

I've said it before and I'll say it again but....the REAL shame of his pop career is that many people don't even KNOW he's a drummer... much less a darn good one!!
