Any types of Comedy you feel have been done to death? you see the preview for the movie and just cringe.

I will go with body switching, age switching comedies. The Original Freaky Friday was good, so was Big. After that they have just been done to death. (I did Like 13 going on 30 as well)

Movies that tell you that they are comedy film of the year, or one of the funniest movies of all time usually tend to make me cringe. Most of the "funny" movies that have been released in the last couple years have fallen completely flat with me and I find one of two things happen, either I can't make it all the way through the movie because its unbearable, or I make it all the way through bored...for me the most overdone is the buddy comedy.

Alex Mitchell says: After that, any film that "Affectionately parodies" an old TV show is usually pretty weak.

Richiev says: True; I am looking at previews of land of the lost and thinking? Where are the kids?

OK, I am getting to the point where I am thinking, no move vampires for a while. This goes for both movies and TV. If you can't do it better than Buffy or true blood, then don't make it.

(Along the same lines I think maybe they shouldn't make any more "Scary Movies" for a while. (They wayans brothers spoofs)

I'm sick and tired of certain formulas being borrowed over and over and over in comedy movies. It's like, don't the studios realize we've seen this same thing umpteen times already?

For instance: a ne'er-do-well, aimless woman inherits a few of her sibling's kids and she becomes a wonderful mommy (in eighty minutes).

Also: a burly, butch guy is thrown into a scenario in which he has to take care of precocious kids. Or a big lug is forced into a less than masculine situation. See Vin Diesel or The Rock in those cutesy family movies that keep coming out year after year. (The Pacifier, The Tooth Fairy, etc.)

Enough already, Hollywood. Do something *original* for a change.

Let's stop with the "we're city boys lost in the woods with the bad guys chasing us" movies.

Oh, I am so sick of (and in fact never did like) the series of movies that started with Scary Movie and branched out from there. I tried to watch one of them and couldn't because it was so horrible. Am I the only one that found them dumber than dumb?

The Cinderella Curse
