I belive the odds are the same. The Hulk is more powerful as he get angry and Doomsday is practically the same way.

Since Hulk is good and Doomsday is bad, I would love to see a DC/Marvel storyline where the two of them are involved.

Anyway, who do you think it'll win?. The big green machine or the big spiky monster?.

Make your bets!!

the hulk would win. i looked at the superman vs doomsday fight as a hulk vs superman fight.

Posted on May 3, 2011 11:07:31 PM PDT
Superman is apparently stronger than Hulk and Doomsday "killed" Superman. However, no one's ever killed the Hulk and he doesn't have weaknesses like Superman (glowing green rocks do not scare the Hulk).
Hulk vs Doomsday? I don't know who'd win but WTF Marvel and DC? When are you gonna make this a reality?! *Patiently waits*

@D. L. Fernando: Ja!. Very agree!.

Hulk doesn't really have (that I know) weekneses, however Doomsday is the perfect killing machine. Superman never actually killed Doomsday. The monster just slept until self-heal itself. Doomsday doesn't eat nor ever get tired, and you can never beat him the same way twice. Superman can't fight him anymore. He'll lose for sure.

I think he'll give the Hulk a run for his money. Not sure who will win.

One hit from Doomsday is like an atomic bomb to the face and a massive earthquake inside your body. While Hulk's is just like a building falling on top of you. Now if Thor, was able to hit Doomsday as hard as he could with is hammer, so hard that it shattered in the process... then Doomsday might sleep for quite a while. Thor FTW!

Posted on May 21, 2011 1:04:14 PM PDT
Interesting!. I had no idea of Thor´s strenght. The trick there is to hold Doomsday still. Near impossible.

How about Doomsday vs. Magog !!! Who has the advantage in that fight?

If the Hulk was sucker Punched by Doomsday, then ol spikey would have the upper hand and ol greenskin would be creamed.

If it was an escalated battle then the Hulk would increase in power to the point where he could shrug off the blows from Doomsday.

The Hulk has massive regenerative abilities that don't require him to sleep or even stop fighting after taking extensive damage. He heals faster than Wolverine.

Doomsday would make jelly out of Magog. He's at odds with Superman and Superman can't beat Doomsday.

The Hulk regenerative abilities are a huge plus. Point for the big green guy!.

In reply to an earlier post on May 25, 2011 2:12:53 PM PDT
Sorry, but just in name Doomsday would win. Nobody named "Squirrel" could survide the end of days.

The Hulk has an edge as he gets stronger and his stamina increases as he gets angrier, at first Doomsday would probably hurt The Hulk, but once they threw in him hurting or endangering one of his friends he would start putting the HURT on Doomy. Still it would be an epic fight that could spawn a 12 issue maxi-series.

Partly kidding, partly not - you alomost had the answer in your 2nd line:

Hulk is good, Doomsday is bad. In comics the good guy generally wins. I think D.C. might just let Hulk win. Especially if there was a trade-off in the other direction.

In reply to an earlier post on Jun 2, 2011 12:45:47 PM PDT
Your most correct. Given that Doomsday is bad he'll end losing or, at best, Hulk end up winning by a technicism.

Who knows!

D. Maulding says:
Superman isn't stronger than the Hulk, but he does have more tools and versatility to beat him. Speed is devastating when coupled with strength on Superman's level, even if that strength isn't as high as Hulk's.

Saying that Superman can't beat Doomsday makes no sense when he HAS beaten Doomsday. Dying in the process doesn't mean he didn't stop him. His goal was to stop him, he did, so he beat him.

There are tricks to both The Hulk and Doomsday. With the Hulk, like it's been said, the madder he gets, the stronger he gets. His fighting and reasoning skills depend on what incarnation of the Hulk we're talking about. The mindless rampaging monster is the strongest there is. The Grey Hulk is cunning and will fight dirty, but isn't nearly as strong. The Hulk that was around for Planet Hulk and World War Hulk is pretty strong and pretty tactical for being the Hulk. Plus, he's prone to being extremely irritable, so he has the potential to get stronger almost to mindless Hulk levels. You want the best fight with Doomsday, you pick either the rampaging monster version or the Planet Hulk version. Either one, I think would beat Doomsday. The first time.

Now for Doomsday's trick. He's a Kryptonian bioweapon meant to adapt to anything after he has been beaten, or killed, by it. "After" is the key word. Superman beat him, Doomsday woke up again and Superman couldn't stop him the same way, so he had to adapt his game plan and use different tactics. The same result would happen with the Hulk. Hulk can heal up fairly fast when he does take damage, which isn't often. Doosmsday heals up after dying. His bony extensions, for example, would be easy pickings and targets for the Hulk to hit, on purpose or not. They will break and won't repair for the duration of the fight.
Superman's body acts as a solar battery. The more energy he uses, the more time he needs to recharge. He expended so much energy in the Doomsday fight, he couldn't heal fast enough, then he died. Hulk doesn't have that problem. If anything, he gets angrier and he'll just heal faster. Hulk will kill Doomsday.
The next time Doomsday comes looking for Hulk will be a different story. His bones might have gotten more dense, dense enough that Hulk can't break them. His skin tougher or maybe adapted to absorb and disperse the impact of Hulk's immense punches, minimizing the damage to his body, almost negating it. The Hulk would have to find a different way to beat him, like Superman did, but Hulk doesn't have as many tools as Supes, so he'd be in a bit more trouble. THAT is the Doomsday that I wouldn't want to see. The ones that comes back after fighting the Hulk.

D. Maulding,
That's an extremely good post.

On a second fight Doomsday would do best to sucker-punch the hulk. The Hulks greatest strength (anger=power) is also his only real weakness. If Doomsday came back stronger and more resilient than when the Hulk last beat him it would likely only anger the hulk until he got strong enough to punch Doomsday into interstellar space. Or into another dimension (depending on the writer).

But if Doomsday came back and sucker-punched him... or better yet, squashed Banner, then it's game over.

Banner minded Hulk vs Doomsday would be an interesting fight. Would Banner be able to get angry enough to stop Doomsday with brute force? Would Banners intellect be enough to make up for the lack of rage? Would he be able to pull a Superman and beat Doomsday on repeat visits in multiple different ways? Banner IS smart enough to do things like create unique weapons. An inter-dimensional transport weapon then becomes a possibility. Zap, congrats your ten billion light years and 60 dimensions away.

There are many possible variations on how this fight could go. It's seems likely that the Hulk could take him for Round 1 on brute force alone, subsequent rounds really depends on what variation of the Hulk it IS and what compensation Doomsday uses to counter the Hulk.

BRAVO, Mr. Maulding!!!!!!.

You made a magnificent point right there!.

Round 1: The Hulk might trash Doomsday after an epic fight.
Round 2: Who the heck knows!.

At some point in round 2 Doomsday will be stpoed, but not beated. It has been stated that Doomsday can´t be defeated the same way twice (not fist-fight wise anyway), so The Hulk should need some help or intelect to stop the Spiky Machine of Doom.

D. Maulding says:
If the first fight was the savage Hulk, then Doomsday would adapt to that and most likely be able to beat him. If it was the Planet (or Gladiator) Hulk version or the Banner Hulk, they'd have some smarts to probably beat him in a different way, for multiple fights.

The Gladiator Hulk has an ego, though, so his downfall would probably be to try to test his strength no matter what, but he'd still be pretty tactical until he just got too pissed to think clearly, so it's possible that Doomsday would win the second fight at the earliest. The Banner Hulk I don't think would get mad enough to increase his strength. He'd be too busy trying to reason his way to a solution, but his knowledge of leverage and physics in general would help him, like in redirecting a charging Doomsday to where he sends him sailing miles away. He'd have trouble in the first fight, but would eventually reason his way to beating him and would probably in the meantime, have some contingency ready for round 2. end him to the Negative Zone and let Annihilus or Blastaar deal with him. haha. The Grey Hulk, Mr. Fixit, would have pretty much no chance at all in a straight fight. If he could redirect Doomsday's attention to destroying someone or somewhere else, he'd do that. He would just rather make it someone else's problem if he can't "fix it" himself. :D

If Doomsday managed to get to Banner, then yeah, it's over fast. He'd have to be fast enough to take Banner out before the Hulk persona, anger or not, would take over as a matter of self preservation.

These days Doomsday might just get confused with all of the different Hulks and She-Hulks and leave. haha. Nah, he'd try to fight them all, making the revived Doomsday after many fights on the cosmic level or something after that. Doomsday vs. the Silver Surfer! Short fight.

Posted on Jun 12, 2011 6:53:23 PM PDT
Doomsday vs. the Silver Surfer?. Not so sure.

In Doomsday´s first years he fought with a guy named "The Radiant" (I think) that was pretty much Silver Surfer sans the Surf Board. Anyway, The Radiant beat Doomsday after a week or so of fighting. The problems was that on round 2, many years later, Doomsday rip this character in two in the first punch.

So.... I dunno.

D. Maulding says:
Mmm. They had so explain a way that Doomsday became so powerful or how big of threat he is, so they created some powerful being to be destroyed by him. The Surfer can control things on a molecular level. If he decided to take apart Doomsday, he could easily. If he decided to just drop Doomsday through a wormhole that opens up near a black hole, he could. The Surfer is on a whole other level. Also, from a storytelling standpoint, he's an established character. Apparently if Doomsday's body is completely destroyed, he's done. There has to be something left for him to regenerate from. The Radiant unleashed a massive blast, then left his body there to be buried instead of deconstructing him on the atomic level, which the Surfer can do and would probably resort to. He has massive power and can use it in a huge way, like The Radiant did against Doomsday, but the Surfer is known to use his power in a bit more subtle way at times. But that's all off topic! Hulk vs. Doosmday is the issue.
