I don't mean food intolerances. I mean you just won't eat a specific food. So I'm wondering why. Is it because you were forced to eat it as a child? Is it a texture thing? Tink won't eat cheese...is that all cheeses.? Even Parm? I won't eat brains, and have a problem with internal organs (haggis? don't think I'd like to try it), but I like chopped liver. I put kidney and heart in my stuffing. So what do you have a problem with?

I do not like canned tuna, broccoli and organ meats. Just don't like them. I have tried to like them and I don't. I don't like the texture of mushrooms very much. I also do not liked over cooked yellow squash, which is how my mother loves it. It makes me gag. Stir fried or broiled yellow squash I enjoy but not the over cooked lumpy mush that I had to eat as a child.

My son doesn't like pudding because of the texture.

There was something about the cooked carrots and potatoes in the mixture...just didnt like it, maybe to earthy tasting for a little kid? And on top of that, being told you cant leave the table until you finish your plate! yikes..... Its the one meal I have never made for my family lol

Canned veggies are not considered food. Really!

Actually stew - if made by Julia Child and called Boeuf Bourginon - would be very tasty.
Beef stew the way my mother made it - not so much!

Yikes...I studied at a culinary institute and you have to prepare and taste most everything at one point. I really dislike tripe, not to crazy about brains either!

They say brains are creamy...but that doesn't describe the flavor. Can you describe what it tastes like? Don't say chicken!!

Thats funny you mention that-- there were 8 of us kids growing up and we never had fresh veggies except for tomatoes and corn in the summer...peas, corn, beans ,spinich etc all came from cans. My Mom used to bake her own bread every week and all her dinners and desserts were homemade but when it came to veggies she used canned. I never knew what broccoli was until I was in my 20's! lol

Oh forgot to mention creamed corn, what the heck is that anyway!? yuck!
