Ann Thompson says:
I suggest Autumn Seclusion by Andrea Ferrell, it is a wonderful book set in the south. It takes you on a journey into a young woman's soul. It deals with serious issues of abuse, racism and questions self-identity and love. The work is also uplifting and teaches lessons in responsibility and forgiveness. As well, the novel portrays the NC coastline, eastern NC farm communities. The second half of the book takes you on a breathtaking voyage into Thailand. As well, you should check out the review from Midwest Book Review, they gave the novel 5 stars and highly recommend it (can be found on the amazon customer review). And, on the publishers website, there is another article that praises the novel, it is from Encore Magazine. This is truly a work that others should read. I tagged the novel and hope others read and enjoy the book.

Autumn Seclusion by Andrea Ferrell is a debut novel that is highly recommended by Midwest Book Review and Encore Magazine. It is a soulful story that teaches the value of self-worth, friendship, hope, healing and forgiveness. The imagery leaves you breathless--it is as though you are with Anna on her voyages. The novel takes place in coastal North Carolina and in Thailand. After reading the story, I had a new appreciation for the people who have touched my life, as well, I want to visit the unique people of Thailand, especially the children.

I suggest Summer Born:
Mandy Wheeler, 17, learns that she has a progressive neurological disorder called Cerebellar Ataxia, which impairs coordination. With the support of friends, family, and The National Ataxia Foundation she learns to accept her disability.
This book is based on my own experiences with Cerebellar Ataxia. My age of onset was 17 and I have been becoming more and more disabled.
